After eating a meal, especially meat and starch, I get gas and bloating. I can't sit in the class without getting discomfort and urge to go to the restroom. I've tried digestive enzymes and probiotics, but didn't get a lot of results. Also, my face turns red right after eating. Lots of burping as well....Any suggestions????

Try Rainbow Light's - Advanced Enzyme System.
My husband and I both take them with meals and they work and they're great.

talk to the doctor about serious constipation or gastritis.
I had the same symptoms but from a medicine change in my asthma meds.
It was horrible, I couldn't sit in a comfortable position and felt fine when i woke but not after i ate, for the rest of the day I was miserable.
I took and still do every day to prevent it from re occurring , 1 spoon on linaza (flax seed) in a glass of water 8 oz in evening then let it sit over night,
Next morning stir it a bit and drink all, water and seeds.
I had a blockage in my intestines so 1st I had to use a bottle of some liquid the doctor gave me. (it is a surgery prep intestine clearance fluid.) worked awsome though, just plan on staying at home in the day.

It sounds like you're eating too much too fast. Cut down the portion sizes and slow down when you eat. When you eat too fast you can swallow a lot of extra air, causing discomfort when you are digesting. Try this before looking for meds. It costs less and is more likely.

slow down when eating, also try Beano.....also try to drink some soda with your meal, I don't but when I want to eat a lot I do because you burp and leave room, in your case the burps will help. Again slow down when eating because you must be scarfing down your meals to get that much gas.

Try different diets, esp meat and starch free. It maybe that you are allergic to certain foods. Discuss with Dr., but some empircal testing to see what it is that causes the worst problem will help.

I've had that same thing. I was eating too much. Now I put my food on smaller salad-like plates. If you get a huge take-out, only allow yourself half of it. The "fullness" will hit you in about half an hour and you won't be hungry anymore, plus you have leftovers!
