Slice & dice Spam and fry in margarine in a heavy skillet with some diced onions & green pepper. When the Spam is browned & crispy, pour in beaten eggs....pull in the edges as they cook until just the very top is still runny...then put shredded cheddar cheese on top, remove from burner...cover and let stand a few moments. Fold it carefully in half, and you have the World's Best Denver Omelet. A side of fried 'taters and a few sliced tomatoes on the side... a perfect feast no matter what time of day you're eating it!

I like to make cheesy spam rolls. Here's the recipe if you want to try it out.

2 packages (10-count size) small French rolls
2 cups shredded cheese -- divided
2 cans (8 oz size) roasted garlic tomato sauce
1 medium onion -- chopped very fine
1 can (4.5 oz size) chopped ripe olives
4 hard-boiled eggs -- grated
1 can (12 oz size) Spam -- finely diced

Slice dinner rolls in half and hollow out centers slightly to make shallow bowls. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake at 350° F until they are crisp, about 5 minutes.

Reserve 1 cup cheese for topping. Combine the remaining cheese, tomato sauce, chopped onion, olives, grated eggs and diced Spam.

Spread the mixture on toasted rolls, covering well. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes or until cheese melts and is bubbly.

They are so delicious!!!

Spam has been around foreva, and of course has some awsome recipes, I grew up with fried spam, Alaska had lots of canned type meats due to shipping costs at the time.
here is a fun one.

Fritatta

3 tbsp butter 7-oz can SPAM, cubed 1/4"
1/2 cup chopped onion 10 pitted black olives, chopped
1/2 cup chopped green pepper 6 eggs
2 medium potatoes, peeled and 2 tbsp water
cubed 1/4" 1/4 tsp pepper

In 10-inch omelet pan or skilet melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add onion, green pepper and potatoes; cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are crisply tender (5 to 7 minutes). Add SPAM and olives; continue cooking until SPAM is heated through. Loosen sauteed ingredients from bottom of pan; add remaining 1 tbsp butter. Tilt pan to cover bottom with butter. In small bowl mix eggs, water, and pepper; pour over SPAM mixture. Cover; cook over low heat 12 to 15 minutes or until egg mixture is set on top. With pancake turner, loosen edges and bottom; invert onto serving platter. Yield: 6 servings.

my husband loves it. when he was a kid, his dad was an airforce chef and they ate a lot of it. He likes it fried as well or on a sandwich. I watched a show on the food network a while back and there was a huge spam cookoff in the States somewhere and they had a hundred different ways to prepare it !

haven't had spam in a long time, but I ate it just like you did when I last ate it. Also mixed it up with lettuce tomatoes and mircle whip and put it on two pieces of bread. Very good. Think I will go get some.

I do...just the way you prepared it, fried, sometimes with cheese and/or in a sandwich. Try lightly flouring the slices before frying for a crusty surface, grits on the side?

I use to like it and then I learned how to cook. I use to make a ruben dish out of it and everyone loved it and had no clue it was spam.
