Quite simply, there aren't any good ones! "Teacup" dogs are purposely bred to be that small by back yard breeders wanting to make big bucks off of uneducated puppy buyers.
They could care less about breeding for HEALTH, temperament, much less the particular breed's standard. No responsible breeder will ever breed TEACUP anything!

Please do your homework on the breeds you are interested in, find out what they are SUPPOSED to look like, what the health problems are within the breed, etc.
The AKC site has all of the breed standards and links to the parent clubs.

Any breed that is what the breed should weigh and not the sickly freak pups that are bred down on purpose for those people who just have to have a 1.5 pound dog.

Terriers, maltese, shih tzu, any breed just make sure it's a NORMAL average weight and size for the breed and not a "teacup".

All a teacup is, is a litter of runts produced on purpose by breeding two runts. lots of health problems and also mental health problems. The only one who suffers is the poor dog. The breeder gets rewarded with money and you hurt like crazy when all the health problems start and the poor dog is in pain.

For example a teacup chihuahua is just a normal chihuahua it was just born as the runt. Dont get a teacup they have allot of health issues due to small size. The teacup's are expensive and you will spend even more with medical bills!! Get a Chihuahua. I have one myself and she is sweet and loves to play! You will never regret getting one. Make sure you do research on the breed before you get it. I did ALLOT of research and now I am an expert on them. If you have anymore chihuahua questions just add me to your contacts.
Take Care =)

A so called "teacup" dog isnt goin to come from a real breeder and the are goin to have many helth problems and die early. if you see someone advertizin teacup size dogs they are a byb and only want your money you are better off lookin into a toy breed dog at the AKC or UKC web site you need to find the right dog for you and dont pick them just cause they are cute!

There is no such thing as a "teacup" dog. It's a made up term by bad breeders for dogs that are bred smaller than the established breed standard. These extremely small dogs are often sickly and very frail and very suceptible to injuries. No good breeder ever breeds a teacup, so if you see it run away as fast as you can.

If you want to get a small dog, get a standard Yorkie or chihuahua - standard chihuahuas for example are typically 4-6 lbs. -extremely tiny - and Yorkies are not much bigger. You will save yourself from being ripped off and a lot of vet bills and grief if you avoid the "teacup" breeders.

One that lives a normal life-span, one that's parents were healthy, one that was not bred purely for profit with no concern for health- so once you've cut out all those ones that leaves- NONE

No REAL breeder breeds 'teacup' dog the AKC and breed clubs don't recognize them and discourage people from buying them as they are a scam.

a teacup is made from porcelin and you drink tea out of it!

there is no such thing as a "teacup" dog...
and "super small" puppies tend to be at a hihger risk for extreem health problems that can end in death.

if your looking for a small breed dog try looking into the chihuahua, be warned there are many backyard breeders advertising "teacups" but remember theres no such thing and RUN from these people. the breed is NOT for everyone, but is one of the smallest breeds around at 2-6lbs full grown by standard.
yorkie and toy poodles also make wonderfull pets...

I hear Ty makes really tiny Beanie dogs ***j/k. The real ones are just the runts that require a lot of medical help. Big Bucks! Also, they're the result of greedy people wanting the big bucks and causing our Vets to work overtime to help these poor dogs. Yes, they are adorable but they come with a huge responsibility to keep them healthy!

ok i guess everyone has already lectured on the teacup thing. check into toy poodles. they are the most evenly dispositioned of the small breeds. chihuahuas have more requirements that need to be met.
