sometimes even if you may be posted at a higher grade (like people who join army after finsing a good Engineering degree) get a short haircut during just induction training - Is there any reason ? I could be wrong here - I thought may be after induction you you may be allowed to grow your hair

I feel a short haircut is hassle-free and a short hairstyle still remains intact without making you look shabby after the hardwork (as in army) which will be true for a longer hair.Also a longer hair could be a distractor while doing a jobs in army...sometimes such distractions could be dangerous ones too.

I dont think you will be allowed to grow you hair once the induction is finished.

To look smart & get fitted into the uniform hair cut is necessary.

so that their hair doesnt get stuck in the trees when they are walking through the bushes or jungles

for better care... :)... they wont get any problems lik.. hair fall, dull hair, curly hair...etc etc....
