By questioning skepticism, aren't you being a skeptic yourself?
Decarte said that the only way to be sure of anything was to doubt everything you think you know, everything you've always held to be true. Then, if you can examine these doubts and find one thing that, without relying on anything else, on any other belief, is true, then you have a basis to determine the truth of your other beliefs. The only thing Decarte could find to be true without the support of anything else was the fact of his own existance. His thoughts existed, so therefor, so must he.

Skepticism itself will not allow you to discover truth, it only prevents you from being deceived by untruths. The scientific method is the best known way to discover truths, and it does not, in itself, require skepticism except for the realization that all theories are provisional.

Never! Skepticism is the essence, the very soul of the scientific method and the true gateway to the secrets of the universe. To question such a methodology would be-- would be-- oh, why must there be such DOUBT in the world?!

I believe the only way a person can find the truth is to be willing to see it in the first place. Skepticism can become a religion on it's own, can't it?

I am very skeptical of skepticism.
Truth is discovered by observation.

Skepticism is nothing more than asking questions and demanding answers.

No. Skepticism is not a means, it is an approach to looking at data or information.

being skeptical of skepticism? surely that would render your investigation of skepticism's usefulness invalid? since you're basically questioning the process of questioning.
so no, i wouldn't question skepticism, as that borders on the illogical. i accept that in general to question is to learn. an upshot of this is that i don't question questioning.

It is a means of discovering anything, per se. More often than not, it is a method of not accepting falsehoods as truths (which, unfortunately, is a common occurence).
