Absolutely! When Gabriel appeared to Mary, she was initially afraid but The Angel comforted her, told her who he was. Mary was no longer afraid. She was secure in her faith! This is true for anyone, including all prophets of God, except Muhammad!

Muhammad was scared when the spirit came. The spirit was forceful and not too pleasant according to Muhammad himself. The spirit pushed against Muhammad 3 times, until Muhammad felt he could not stand it. Afterward, Muhammad ran to his wife terrified. He thought he was possessed. He was depressed. He was suicidal, and not just after the first meeting. This is all written in islamic holy books.

It's apparent that Muhammad did not meet with Angel Gabriel. The Holy Bible says that Angels of Our Lord can be tested. They will proclaim Jesus! This spirit did not!

God Bless.

Yes, one actually was Gabriel and the other was only claiming to be. 1 John 4:1-3 makes it pretty clear which was being dishonest.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Muhammad didn't test the spirit, unfortunately.

I believe the Bible is the holy, inerrant word of God. The Old Testament and the New Testament were written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. As Christians, we accept the Old Testament to be a record and an example of what God allowed to happen among the Jewish people in antiquity. The New Testament records the birth, life, mission, death, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible predates the Quran and in it we read the admonition of the apostle Paul in Galations 1:8,9, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

We read in Deut. 4:2 the following,"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. " Therefore when Mohamed wrote the Quran 600 years after Christ's death, burial, and Resurrection he altered and changed the word of Almighty God. Mohamed was trying to unite the desert tribes and created Allah, the moon god of the pagans to the station of and a substitution for the one true God. Islam teaches violence against the infidels (us) while Jesus taught His followers to treat others with dignity, respect, and to love them. He was a man of peace. As such, judgment is of God and Him alone. Not by a group of religious fanatics whose sole goal in life is to force the conversion of others by force.

Jesus is God in the flesh for only a man could die for mankind. The deity of God could not die, so Jesus came to provide salvation for us. He is the perfect sacrificial lamb.
Jesus Christ is more than a prophet, He is the Savior of the world willing to take on mankind's sins and die for us. What has Allah done?

Very astute of you. That is correct. One of them is Gabriel, the other is a being posing as Gabriel.

2 Corinthians 11:14
Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

That is why Paul emphatically warns...

Galatians 1:8-9
If we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

In other words...
If a gnostic text, a Muslim, Mormon, Gabriel, Moroni, tries to push some other Jesus on you other than the one found in the Bible, let them be anathema (ie condemned to the lowest parts of perdition).

dushdoosh - Gabriel said to Zacharias He was Lord. Gabriel said to Mary, "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” - That indeed is calling Him Lord. And more so, Lord of lords.

Exactly! Mohammed didn't ask for ANY credentials. He simply assumed that the spirit that spoke to him was telling the truth. Satan is a liar who can appear as an 'angel of light'. And the Quran is FULL of discrepencies like this.
Any book that claims to agree with Holy Scripture should probably actually AGREE with it.

A little common sense can go a long way.

What happened to the Koran is that it stopped with Abraham--Jesus Christ had not yet come.
The original tribes of the Bible split up. One of those tribes went off, and although they believe in God, they do not know Jesus Christ as Savior.
Followers of the Koran are mistaken. Their history was stunted.
Good luck and may God bless you.

Yes. Either one of the Gabriels in that occasion was a demon pretending to be Gabriel. Angels are messengers from God and they cannot lie. If they give conflicting messages something is clearly wrong.

Yes.
Muhammad is mistaken, just like the Mormons.
Jesus remains the unchanging Lord of all.
