food that is cooked in the oven, puddings, bread, cakes, biscuits and pastries. Anything that is cooked in oil, in the oven is roasted, hence, roast potatoes and baked potaotes

The literal answer would be any food that is baked in the oven as opposed to roasting in the oven is a baked food.
These foods could be anything from baked potatoes to baked cookies--with baked chicken, salmon, pies,etc. somewhere in the middle.

But, as a general rule--as a cook--I think of baked foods as being things such as pastries, cakes, cookies, brownies and other baked desserts.

However, then there are things that confuse the issue such as quiches, brie baked in puff pastrie, phyllo wrapped foods such as spanikopeta and meat pies.

There are pancakes that are only cooked on the stove top and one must cook both sides--but then there are filled pancakes such as Dutch Apple Pancakes that are started in a skillet on the stove top and then finished by baking in the oven. But, crepes and pancakes are usually dry cooked in a frying pan or on a griddle. Not baked.

Baked foods are any food baked in an oven. Baked Goods however generally refer to breads, cakes, pies, and cookies, No pancakes are not considered baked goods as they are cooked on top of the stove.

Baked in an oven, normally things like cakes, cookies, muffins, cupcakes, breads, rolls, brownies. Things that were once a batter and you bake them. Pretty much picture what your local bakery sells or what you see at a bakesale.

MS below says turkey, that would normally not be classified as a baked good as one usually refers to the term.

Baked food is cooked by oven. you can bake anything almost, and it is easy.

for a food to be baked, it has to have heat cooking it from all sides, like in an oven or a toaster oven. microwaves don't count, though.
