I cut my leg by my ankle 5 days ago and there is still blood comming out. I change the bandages 2 times a day and put neosporin on it. When I take the bandages off there is blood on them. Should I just leave the bangages off? Should I put rubbing alcohol? What should I do for the cut to heal?

If you don't have any health problems and feel fine you are likely bleeding for so long due to poor blood clotting or wound healing abilities.

Excess intake of blood thinning agents can cause poor blood clotting. Common blood thinning agents are aspirin, garlic and foods high in omega 3 fatty acids (fatty fish, flax seeds). High intake of vit E and B6 can also cause this. Some people take too much omega 3 in the form of supplements and food. Deficiency of vitamin K can also cause poor blood clotting.

Poor wound healing can be caused by nutritional imbalances, ie. you levels of certain vitamins or minerals may be too high or low. For example low levels of iron and copper can cause this.

I would go to a doctor and also do a hair analysis test to determine if you are suffering from any nutritional imbalances.

No rubbing alcohol. It will burn like crazy. You might need a couple stitches if it has not closed itself within 5 days - that's kind of a long time for a razor cut not to close. See your doctor or local clinic. They can tell you if it needs stitches. Keep up with the neosporin - that's good for the cut.

I'm not a doctor, but my best guess is that you are keeping it too moist and it's not allowed to dry enough to form a scab. Dump the Neosporin, leave it open to the air. Don't touch it, scratch it, rub it, etc. Good luck. If that doesn't work you may have low blood clotting factor and need to see a doctor.

You need to let the air get to it. So i would recommend leaving the bandages off. However continue putting neosporian on it daily.

Good luck!

Use iodine. Let it burn a bit to kill germs. Leave it open to the air. It will heal in 24 hours.
