Everyone should wash their face at least twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. The only other reason to wash the face more than that would be if you had sweat profusely, got caught in a dust storm, or work in a dirty environment, etc.
Oil, dead skin cells, and atmospheric dust build up on the skin during the day, and at night while you sleep for 8 hours or so, oil and dead skin cells also build up on the skin. It's important to keep this buildup washed off of your skin.

You can follow the direction or else if u perspire, then u should definitely wash ur face to avoid clogging of pores. Here are some tips for you since i have oily and im also pimple prone skin...
Gently Cleanse Acne-prone Skin
Limit washing to twice a day – and after perspiring. Once in the morning and once at night as well as after perspiring heavily should be the limit. Perspiration, especially when wearing a hat or helmet, can make acne worse, so the skin should be gently cleansed as quickly as possible after perspiring.
Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser. Wash the face and other acne-prone areas with a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser that does not contain alcohol.
Use your fingertips. Apply the cleanser and wash with your fingertips. This reduces skin irritation. Using a washcloth, mesh sponge, or anything else can irritate the skin and lead to breakouts.
Never scrub the skin. Scrubbing the skin clean does not clear acne. In fact, scrubbing irritates the skin and can make acne worse.
Rinse with lukewarm water. Be sure to thoroughly rinse away the cleanser with lukewarm, not hot, water.
Shampoo regularly. If you have oily hair, shampoo daily.
Hope this help u a bit..

it actually depends on the user. Some people's sebaceous glands (produces oil to keep skin soft and smooth, and not dry prevents wrinkles) tend to secrete more oil than others do.
Some facial wash brands are really strong for some. Once oil is removed from the face, the glands respond by producing more to compensate the loss oil to prevent wrinkling and cracking of the skin, this in turn makes our face oilier. So i suggest you use it once a day (at night before you sleep, to wash away all the dirt accumulated during the day), or every other day. then use warm or cool water to wash your face.
another option is to wash your face with just cool water, and let it dry by itself. don't worry about the drippings, wipe your face with a very clean towel ( not rub but pat gently). This works for me, acne on my face is lesser than the time i used to wash with a facial wash. and now, i'm close to 0%
i hope this works for you. There's no harm trying.

I tend to have oily skin so I like to use my facewash (for the same things as yours) in the shower in the morning and then again at night before bed

Each day will be different so just use your best judgement. For example if you work out in the evening or go outside and get sweaty then you will need to wash in the evening as well. You never want to overwash your face because that will strip it of natural oils and could irritate acne even more. But if it needs to be washed then it needs to be washed.
Try incorporating different face washes. You could use this acne and blackhead one before you go out in the morning and at night (it doesnt have to be RIGHT before bed as long as you aren't going to get sweaty or clog your pores after washing, just do it at night in general), and then get a mild cleanser to refresh with during the day. For example, I refresh in the evening with one of my nieces green tea & aloe huggies washcloths....lol....they are made for babies but they work great.

Just before bed is fine. If you do it before you go to bed, no dirt or anything gets on your face..unless you use a really dirty pillow. Which i doubt cause that is gross.... Doing it twice a day is just a waste of face wash.

start out with once before bed. once your skin gets used to it you can do once in the morning and once before bed. If your skin gets too dry when you do that, switch back to once before bed.
