why when i drink out of a beer bottle , people straightaway assume i am drinking beer and criticise and condemn me for that ?
for all i know , i could be using beer bottle to hold plain water .

That's is life.
You are the only person that knows the content in the bottle.
There's a proverb goes. Judge the book from it's cover.
If the bottle is beer, what ever the content, definitely it's beer. If the bottle is orange, definitely the content is orange juice. The content of the liquid in the bottle is from the bottle. It only you know the content. Another example, Nobody know you are wearing a torn sock. It's in your shoe. If you tell your sock is torn, then people will know.

If you don't want to take a chance of being judged then drink water out of a water bottle. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is probably a duck. I wouldn't condem you for drinking beer anyway, I have a couple beers now and then and I am a born again Christian. As long as you are not getting drunk I think alcohol is just fine. Everything in moderation (the bible even says that)

way back in high school i had an english teacher who would always drink IBC root beer in school...
IBC used to make beer, but changed to soft drink during the prohibition era... they still use brown glass beer bottles...
if was great fun watching the administration get their knickers in a knot!
