For the past week I have been feeling sick. At first I thought it was the flu because I was always nauseous and my stomach hurt. Then two days ago my right side started to hurt. It hurts under my ribs. It never goes away and last night I woke up hot and it hurt so bad I was crying. This morning only my stomach hurts on the left but my right side is still sore. I am in college so I want to know if I should call my mom and ask her to take me to a doctor or if this doesn't sound too serious. I am starting to get worried about it. During the afternoon I try to eat but it only gets me sicker and seeing eating even on tv is worse. Should I go to a doctor?

Go to a doctor as soon as possible. Maybe the college has a clinic? If this is appendicitis, you need to have the appendix removed before it bursts. If you wait too long and the appendix ruptures, it releases a bunch of bacteria into the intestinal cavity, and it can destroy parts of your intestine in less than a day.

You really shouldn't ignore right side abdominal pain. It could be just a stomach virus, but it could also be appendicitis. If the appendix ruptures, it could cause a severe infection in the abdominal cavity. You should see a doctor today.
