Asians have been here far longer & have helped build this country. They haven't been bombing it & asking for signs to be printed in two languages, except in Chinatown, which is their area to begin with. I have known a few Iranians, although they like to call themselves Persians to distinguish themselves from the people you hear about on the news. But, to anyone with an IQ above 120, we know where they are from!

Well, the best teacher one of my kids ever had was Iranian, but Asians are well thought of as a group. I don't know that I've every heard any particular opinion of Iranians, as a group.
I always thought Iran was in Asia, though, but I assume you mean the people who used to be called 'Orientals' when you say Asia, not those from the middle east.

I think you need to define your terms a little more.
Firstly how are you measuring status?
Iranians moved to the US in droves as the current administration came to power, many of the better educated and financially successful settled in the US to wait out the disruption at home.
So there is this notionally successful intelligentsia in the US, and probably a larger community of Iranian Americans than the general US public is aware of.
Secondly Asian is a hugely diverse grouping, and notably groups within this demographic are treated and regarded with significant difference.
Please define whether you refer to Asian as in Chinese, Asian as in SE Asian, Asian as in Indian, or what.
For example, Philippine citizens have special status and regard in the US, and Indians are not regarded as Asian to the same degree as the are in the UK for example.
The plethora of options makes the question basically too wide for succinct answering.

There aren't as many Persians in the US compared with Asians. I've found both to be hard working and to value education. I employ both Asians from a variety of countries as well as a Persian.
There are also two places I get my hair cut one run by Asians and one (I'm not making this up) by a bunch of older Persian women.
I think it is up to the individual. I mean really if they are legal immigrants they are all hard working and focused and wnat to be here. That gives both groups an advantage over the general population.

Well, I'm not an American, but I'm pretty sure that any decent citizens from anywhere wouldn't judge anybody's intellect, superiority (however you would judge that) or chance of being liked on their ethnicity.
Such characteristics are completely individual human qualities which aren't even scientifically measurable. It's probably a healthy starting point to regard everyone as human, rather than trying to pigeonhole people.

Americans are SOO stupid.
This American ARGUED with me once that Edinburgh Castle has MOVED since the previous year because they think it gets built every year for the tourists and then taken down again !!!!!!!!!!!! heeheehee NO KIDDING !!
The fact its built on billion year old Volcanic Basalt was above their comprehension.
They also believe the Wallace Monument in Stirling was built to honour the movie Braveheart !
No sense of history or commonsense and the scary thing is THEY PUT MEN ON THE MOON.
Asians are much more aware of culture and values anyday.
Oohh, and arn't we SICK of yellow "M" signs all over the planet.

I really don't know. I have worked in many casinos with Asian and Iranian people.I pretty much like them both the same.Everyone is an idividual person but of both "groups' I find they both work hard and are real people just like anyone else. There are smart people and funny people and wise people in each group just like in mainstream USA.
