Good works alone will not get ANYONE into heaven. There are people who claim to be christians who do good works but do not truly live a life in accordance with Christ's teachings. So atheists who do good works but deny Christ will not get into heaven either. That is what the bible says. Besides, why would an atheist want to go to heaven in the first place? They don't believe anyway. Why should they be worried about hell? They don't believe in that either. The only way to get to heaven is to Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved in addition to doing good works (adhere to christ's teachings) Faith (being a christian) without works is dead.

It is not of us to question the mercy of God, and who and who will not be saved. Only God knows this and we will be judged, all of us.
Not a single person on earth knows who and who will not be in heaven or hell, but I do believe that a true Atheist or non believer, not only does not believe in God, therefore no heaven, no afterlife, therefore no hell, so this question would matter little to them and they have freely accepted this choice and will live throughout eternity with it.
I would rather believe and do good anyhow, than not believe and do good for the sake of doing good, because there is no purpose behind it except for personal satisfication and I find that selfish, and not giving of self.
God bless and have a great day.

You've apparently missed the entire point of Jesus message to the world. If you do things the way that He did them, you will see God.

Jesus Himself said over and again that it is ALL about the love, and nothing but the love. The laws are not as important as the heart, the mind is not as important as the heart, it is the love that endures forever. That is the only eternal thing.

A person who works for the UN because he finds it easy to defraud them isn't a person doing good. A person who is religious because it's easy to hold power over people through the law isn't a person doing good either.

Get it? :)

The Bible says that those who believe will go to heaven. It never says that good works will get you there or bad works will keep you out. The criminal on the cross had done bad works his whole life but repented on the cross and Jesus said he would go to heaven. The Pharisee that always gave his tithe to the poor and followed the Jewish law asked Jesus if he would go to heaven but when he showed he loved his money more than God he was told that he would not go there. Anyone can do good deeds but without belief in God the gates of heaven are still closed.

The Bible does not teach than anyone will be tormented in Hell.
(See links:
http://bythebible.page.tl/1-.--Dead__the-condition-of--.---.---.--.htm
http://bythebible.page.tl/Judgment-%26-Sheol.htm
)

However, the Bible does teach that everyone who has lived and has died will be receiving a fair judgment by Christ on judgment day. This will judge them according to their actions during their lifetime.

The Bible also teaches that those who live to see Armageddon and have rejected the Good News will all be destroyed. Even so, at this time, all believers shall also be judged. Those who have obeyed the Christian commandments will be judged as sheep, others as goats.

The implication is clear, and the judgment is Christ's and the Saints'.

well who says they do a good thing neccesarily. Un food program encurages people to not work and make there own. By simple virtue of "dont worry everyone else will feed you.

There is no such thing as an act that is purely good. For every action there is a reaction. The trick is to get a reaction that you dont care about. (for instance I dont care about killing billions of bacteria. but I do care about nuclear fall out poisioning the world, as well as chemical weapons.) and sometimes it means choosing the only road that can lead to you being safe from attack (taking up arms)
but that is a phillisophical question, wheather those organizations are doing anything good or not in the scheme of things.

No. Not in asatru. Those that live with Honor and respect for Man (including women) go to Nbelheim the place of great rest (its like heaven, but its a lot darker atmosphere)

In Asatru belief is not even talked about, all that matters is how you conduct yourself in this world. Most people go to Hel (the name of the goddess who I will explain in a second. Its shorthand term for Nibelheim). Some go to Valhalla or many other halls in Asgard. The ones that are bad people. (essentially betrayers, murderers, people who with a right mind couldnt live with themselves.) All are forced to hang out in Hel's hall and the top layer of Nibrlheim. Its like limbo, they cant live with themselves (so-to-speak) and so they cant rest. Theres no food, no drink....nothing. Hel's hall is not a nice place to be for long. The really evil people. Those that delight in others misery, those that do the really heinious crimes. Serial rapists, serial killers, people involved in slave trade, West boro ministers... Essentially the people that Hel dosent want mucking the place up, go to Muspelheim. Land of fire. Imagaine being a giants pet, and whenever he touched you it burned becuse he is made of fire. Land of the fire giants, they are pure evil, all they seek is to kill torture and destroy. The envy the peace that Humans can attain, and the happiness.

But like I said very few people are rejected from Hel's hall.

So no. In Asatru we believe that what matters is how well you live. Including your dealings with others, your conduct as a host..... Look up the 9 virtues of asatru. That will give you a general idea of what gets you into Valhalla. (some groups feel the dying in battle bit was a bit more propaganda then faith.)and as long as you arnt hurting anyone a terrible lot, and you conduct yourself with pride for who you are. You dont have to worry about Muspelheim.

Many Christians work for PETA, the UN food program, Greenpeace and other charitable organizations. But how many of them do you think prefer Crimson to Blue Skies? The Party of the Crimson Tide is the party of hypocrisy.

Exactly what caused me to turn away from the church in the first place.

Oh, and PETA members will likely burn in hell with the telemarketers and car mechanics

The bible says in John 3:16, For God so loved the world that whoso ever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. In order to go to Heaven the bible clearly teaches you have to be a born again believer in Jesus Christ, we are all sinners, God is Holy, the bibles says in the book of Hebrews that without the sheding of blood there is no remission of sins, Jesus shed is blood on the cross for us as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. Jesus came to earth in the form of a man to give his life so that we might go to Heaven and live with him in Paridise. Works has nothing to do with it, the bibles says none is righteous, no not one, Read the book of Romans. For all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God, I believe thats chapter 3, Once Jesus died on the cross and arose from the grave we are now saved strictly by his Grace and Mercy, No more offereing sacrifices, Christ was a perfect Sacrifice. If you would like to be saved and become a child of God please Pray this prayer believing,
Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Sorry, you can't earn your way into heaven. According to the Bible It doesn't work that way. The problem is sin. Every one has sinned and we can't get to God because of it. It keeps us separated from God. But God has made a way for us to get to him and that is to ask for forgiveness and accept what Jesus did on the cross as payment for your sin. God will not overlook your sin just because you've done some good things in your life.
