If you're living alone you really should enjoy it. I myself am living with a roommate who seems to take great pleasure in driving me bananas. Oh man, I sure do wish I lived alone.

Why would you think your going to always be alone? Well whatever the reason...Nobody can really tell you how much it will cost in the area you live in. Your going to have research counslers in your area and see what the average price is, then go to one of them and they should be able to tell you how much therapy you may need and how often. There are also help lines you can call that can recomend people in your area. I don't know any of these lines first hand but it might be something for you to look into. Also do you have any hobbies? If not I would say you need something to occupy your time. You might also want to get a pet if you are able to. Dogs and cats can have a dramatic impact on your life. You'll have a new friend and won't be living alone... hope something helps. Good luck.

There are two books you could read.
"How To Be Your Own Best Friend"
I think this one is called "Living Alone And Liking It"
A am wondering why you think you want to live alone for the rest of your life. Maybe you don't want to be hurt by someone.
If you think you might freak out, this is a sign you do not want to live alone. Best Wishes

I think hopefully is onto something. I don't think you have a serious problem. Maybe you could read a few self help books before getting counseling. Look up a few good books. Right now off the top of my head I suggest you read 'Feeling Good'. I forget the author but its a really fat book about cognitive therapy.

Believe me, living on your own is the BEST stress free option going.
here are TEN GOOD REASONS WHY !!
1 - Total freedom to decide. NO concessions to be made.
2 - No going to the bathroom and finding it smelly.
3 - The joy of lying in bed with no nagging.
4 - You get to eat WHAT you want, WHEN you want.
5 - Having a few guys/girls over is NOT a major crime.
6 - You can come home ANYTIME you like.
7 - You can stay out all night long and NO questions to face.
8 -You can even bring you 'night out' home for fun.
9 - You can SWITCH OFF completely. Disconnect the doorbell and phones.
10 -NO bills to pay for stuff you don't want or need.
And you need THERAPY to get used to this ???
I think your problem is LONELINESS. Think about it, be honest with yourself. No one likes to admit it but we all get lonesome sometimes. FORGET THE 'THERAPY' AND JOIN A SOCIAL ACTIVITY GROUP.
Find like minded souls.
Get out of the house and meet people.
DON'T sit there thinking there's something wrong with YOU, all you need is a bit of sparkle in your life. it's out there. Go for it !!!

A lot of people live alone and are very happy... But if you are not, maybe consider getting a dog? They make wonderful companions.

I am not sure that I understand what you mean. I live alone and absolutely love it...I can go out whenever I want, I have no one to answer to, I can sit at home in my undies and drink wine and read...it's awesome. I don't know what advice to give you because I don't know what you mean, but you can email me if you want to elaborate.
