I suffer from alot of mental problems and I think I'm at risk right now but no one can help...my GP can't get me in until next week, my pyschiatrist will not see me until Sept. 28th or something like that and my therapist isn't in today and I do NOT want to be hospitalized and thats what they do when you're a threat to yourself or others... Any suggestions right now???

Sweety, is there a crisis center you can go to just to see someone now? I mean, if you're having these feelings, you need to go somewhere to talk to someone NOW. I've been in your shoes, so I do know how you feel. I hate to say it, but maybe a day or 2 in the hospital maybe what you need. One of the meds you're taking could be the culprit also. If it weren't for a hospitalization, I wouldn't be here today.

You need a friend. do you have someone that you can call to comfort you? You probably need to go to the ER, but, since you dont want to, I can only offer adivse what I would do. If you can, get some magnesium tablets at the health food store, or grocery store. take 2 tablets every hour. make sure you have something to eat.
I am a christian, and, Christ helps me. I dont know how people get threw anything without Christ...call this number and talk with a christian...1-800-759-0700. have someone comfort you.

Go to another GP. The new GP could possibly phone the medical centre and have your medicine listings faxed to the new doctor? But I'm not sure on that one. Can you make a list of your medicines and dosages and mgs before going.
? It's worth a shot.

Go to see your minister or priest. They are trained in counseling, usually. That is a start. Also, many communities have helplines and social service agencies that might be able to guide you. Call the United Way or United Fund in your area for a name or referral.

Do you believe in God?
if u have absolutely nowhere to go then i think u should go to church and have them pray for you. You have a purpose in this world, whether its small or big u DO have a purpose or else God wouldnt have given u life, and since He gave u life, He is the only one allowed to take it from you. I think its time you have a relationship with Him, all you gotta do is believe!
read John 3:16 in the Bible.

Try finding a different doctor that can see you today. Most doctors keep a couple slots open for unexpected problems. Just tell them you think it is urgent and they will try to fit you in. If you can't get help please do not hesitate to go to the hospital.

Check the local phone book and call the suicide hotline. They have people that will talk to you and get you the help you need. I think the numbers are 1-800-273-TALK or 1-800-suicide. If worse comes to worse please go the the ER they will be able to help.
