The greater misunderstanding is yours. The stories are symbolic more than actual. Case in point is the "descending from two humans". The story of Adam and Eve are symbolic to the first race of reasoning beings, not just two people. The reference is to the separation of mankind from common communion with God and not a report about one family.
The most blind concept of creation is that God performed a magic trick and, "poof", humans! The perpetual growth to intelligent life through evolution is more accurate.

Have you read proverbs or the beatitudes? The wisdom of day to day living in the Bible is undeniable, as far as I'm concerned. And the idea of God makes perfect sense to me.
The Bible doesn't exactly say that Adam and Eve were the first humans. Who did Cain associate with after he killed his brother?
The Bible doesn't dispute any of the archeological findings. It's just that education didn't allow for such findings until the last century. And all that people had to go on for thousands of years was what was written in the Bible.

Interesting, innit? We outgrow other stories that are clearly fictional, yet we accept religious tales without question, and even get irate when they're questioned.
The only real difference is fear. They're afraid to let it go.

In the Bible, God caused a donkey to speak. It was a miracle, to show up the cruelty of the donkeys owner.
(Numbers 22:22-33) And the anger of God began to blaze because he was going; and Jehovah’s angel proceeded to station himself in the road to resist him. And he was riding upon his she-***, and two attendants of his were with him. 23Â And the *** got to see Jehovah’s angel stationed in the road with his drawn sword in his hand; and the *** tried to turn aside from the road that she might go into the field, but Ba′laam began to strike the *** in order to turn her aside to the road. 24Â And Jehovah’s angel kept standing in the narrow way between the vineyards, with a stone wall on this side and a stone wall on that side. 25Â And the she-*** kept seeing Jehovah’s angel and began to squeeze herself against the wall and so to squeeze Ba′laam’s foot against the wall; and he went beating her some more. 26Â Jehovah’s angel now passed by again and stood in a narrow place, where there was no way to turn aside to the right or the left. 27Â When the *** got to see Jehovah’s angel she now lay down under Ba′laam; so that Ba′laam’s anger blazed, and he kept beating the *** with his staff. 28Â Finally Jehovah opened the mouth of the *** and she said to Ba′laam: “What have I done to you so that you have beaten me these three times?” 29Â At this Ba′laam said to the ***: “It is because you have dealt ruthlessly with me. If only there were a sword in my hand, for now I should have killed you!” 30Â Then the she-*** said to Ba′laam: “Am I not your she-*** that you have ridden upon all your life long until this day? Have I ever been used to do to you this way?” To which he said: “No!” 31Â And Jehovah proceeded to uncover Ba′laam’s eyes, so that he saw Jehovah’s angel stationed in the road with his drawn sword in his hand. At once he bowed low and prostrated himself on his face. 32Â Then Jehovah’s angel said to him: “Why have you beaten your she-*** these three times? Look! I—I have come out to offer resistance, because your way has been headlong against my will. 33Â And the she-*** got to see me and tried to turn aside before me these three times. Supposing she had not turned aside from before me! For by now even you I should have killed, but her I should have preserved alive.”

And you are the reverend of Satan. You are blaspheming the Word of God. Repent and ask God to forgive you and save your soul. Jesus Christ came in the flesh and if you do not believe this you have lost your soul. Repent and believe because the time is short. And this is said in love for you.
