Does anyone know the consequences of refusing to join the forces after being drafted by selective services?

I know the draft hasn't been in vigor for more than 10yrs now, but the law is still there and they can reinterate it whenever they want.

The draft ended in the early 1970s. It was a campaign promise by Richard M. Nixon. Today it would be political suicide for any politician who would reinstate the draft. Charles Rangell brought up the idea earlier this year and was told that we don't need it. I was already serving in the Marine Corps when Nixon ended the draft and it had no impact on me. There were so many people who avoided the draft by deferments that very few people that I knew were actually drafted.

i do no longer help the draft, there are too many people being taken far flung from their families now to probable loss of existence for oil interior the middle East because it quite is. Why could we tension people sometime the two mom and father to depart their little ones in the back of with Grandma and Grandpa, in the event that they're nonetheless around, to circulate combat a conflict that should have ended by ability of now? in the event that they start up sending the Republicans over privileged little ones to conflict, and not as pilots, yet as floor combating infantrymen, according to danger i ought to have self belief this conflict became for something different than greed, yet while it became the Republicans in workplace who took their eye off the reason of us agreeing to the conflict, Osama Bin encumbered, and saved the conflict approximately him, quite of Iraq, I gotta have self belief this conflict became began with the point of having administration of the oil in Iraq and everywhere Else interior the middle East, for G.W. Bush and company from the get circulate. No, no draft, or as you're saying, No needed service, we are paying sufficient.
