And I feel like crap, I remember him just walking around making noise yesterday and now hes gone. :'(

I am sorry for your loss.
I am afraid that grieving is the only way to get over a loss.

However, may I make a suggestion? if your bird was struck down without warning, you might want to take your remaining bird to an Avian Vet for a check-up. If you can afford it, take the dead bird to be necropsied as well, to find out what he died of.
After all, how will you feel if your remaining bird dies too, especially if you could have prevented it?
If your remaining bird is fine, then at least you have the peace of mind that comes from knowing this.

Good luck.

Hi,
I am sorry for your loss. There is nothing you can do when you lose a family member. Time will make the loss seem not as bad. But that empty spot will not go away.

Another Parrot, will love you and you will love it. But they can never fill the void left behind. Do go and get another, Find a rescue bird that needs your speical love.

Have a funeral and a wake for the bird.I am serious, when I was 12 years old my parakeet "Pete" died when he apparently choked on some some kind of goofy hang-up treat that came in a box of bird seed.I decided to have a funeral service and burial followed by a little party.I got a cigar box and decorated it and used that for a casket.I even tried my hand a embalming,I put the bird in a plastic bag and poured alcohol all over him.I invited all the neighborhood kids over and after the service and burial,my mother served us pizza and burgers.

I'm so sorry. I know precisely how you're feeling- I've lost some of my most beloved pets, including two parrots. It makes you feel like complete crap for what seems like forever.

I don't know what to say because it's a matter of what works for you individually. I've heard of various ways people cope, from keeping their bird's feathers or toys in a keepsake box to buying a new pet... personally, watching my favourite movies keeps my mind occupied enough to not feel as horrible. It's all about what works for you, and only you.

Again, I'm deeply sorry. Please feel better soon =)

There is no easy way to get over the loss of a friend. Just remember how happy you were with him and how much he loved you back. Over time the wounds will heal and you may even want a new one, but there will always be a burn in your heart where your feathered friend used to reside.

I'm so sorry. I have a parrot that helped me learn to talk again. I love her so much. I don't know what to say to you and not sure I can say anything to ease the pain. I do know I would be feeling as you do. I am so Sorry.

I'm sorry for your loss. Time is really the only thing. Remember all the good memories of him, and remember to do everyting you can to make his passing a fitting one, maybe a burial. That would probably make you feel better.

Again, I'm sorry. Good luck.

If mine died, i would get him cremated. And just put him on your dresser.

Remember, he wouldn't want you to be upset!

Once again i am so sorry.
