I always have a problem with mother-in-law gifts!! haha

I find that most women love things for themselves..not something to cook with or clean with! YUCK!

How about nice scented candles? Most all women love candles. Does she wear jewelry? How about a nice pair of earrings.

I have also bought my MIL bath stuff from bath and body works, a nice bottle of wine, cute decorative baskets or how about a gift certificate for a pedicure???

Hope you find something! Good Luck

A gift card to something she has an interest in. Tickets to the theater if she likes that, a gift card to her favorite restaurant or book store. If she likes that sort of thing, a gift certificate for a day spa, or a massage.

The point is that at 50 she already has enough stuff or she can buy it herself. What she will remember is that you took the time to find out enough about her as a person to give her something she will really be excited about. Good move on your part to start off your relationship with a person who can make or break your peace of mind for the next couple of decades.

How very thoughtful of you to think of your mother-in-law. You seem very considerate.

I am a mother-in-law soon to be 50 and the most cherished gift I could have is celebrating with my family. Personally I LOVE jewelry. It need not be expensive. Maybe a lovely heart locket would be nice.

How sweet of you to be thinking of her this way before you get married. Perhaps you could get her a piece of jewelry to be worn on your wedding day, & or a rememberance of her 50th. A locket with her son's picture in it?? Amethyst stands for friendship. Ruby for 50, Pearl earrings?? try Marshall's & TJ Maxx for real jewelry at a fraction of the cost.
A nice spa package for facial, or manicure & pedicure to treat herself before wedding.
The thought you put into the gift will shine through, you are off to a good start with future MIL.. Best Wishes!

spa- certificate to get a manicure and pedicure, I have seen so many ladies at the nail place and they LOVE perdicures, they sit in the massage chair with their feet soaking, I never had a pedicure but the older ladies say it is such a treat and brag about how wonderful it is and how great it makes them feel.
