Hi im about to leave the country where i have stayed for 3 yrs in my partners hometown.We havent lived with his parents but i need to say goodbye as i am leaving to find emplyment months ahead of my partner, as i am going back to my home to the city.How do i say good bye ,like a gesture or something.i dont want to spend too much money !Any ideas ????

By any chance do you have a photo of the two of you taken someplace in your partners hometown? Some place his parents would have a memory from and recognize. Maybe enlarge it and get a nice frame. Or maybe even one of the 4 of you, maybe you could get someone to take one some place special before you leave.
You are very thoughtful to think of this nice gesture.

give them a hug, and thank them for all they've done.
you dont' have to buy them anything.... maybe once you've moved, you can send a token from the other country when you get the chance?

just buy them some sweets or flowers with a good-bye card
