Because their parents let them get away with it. It is just disrespectful in my opinion.

Well I know in allot of families today they are what you call blended families. So that means there are natural born children to one parent and not the other parent and then maybe they have children together. So yes there are children that call parents by there first name and I would say that more than likely that is the reason.

good question, that is the way the parents rise their children. some long long long time ago some psychologists feel and suggest that parents should be their child's friends instead parents. And their child/children should call them by their first name rather mom and dad. This is suppose to help them built a better relationship between parents and their children. The pyschologiests saying this will prevent children be so rebellion. I said its a bunch of slap! Just look at the kids now and you can thanks those pyschologiests for it. that is my take on it...

one of two things... disrespect or ... it could be that they work together and find it to be more professional to call one another by their given name... unfortunately that sometimes bleeds into non working hours and that sounds terrible to hear a parent being called by their given name...

maybe they're mad at their parents or don't think of them as parents they might think of them as best-friends
Sometime i call my mother by her name to get her attention

me and my sister did it when we were like 8 lol, it was just a phase, our parents didnt punish us or anything, we just grew out of it after a few weeks.

beacuse sometime they was raise uo like that because i know this boy he call is mother by her real name because that was how he was raise up called his mom
