Hello Power2Bowl:
You are still young, and have a good chance of getting in shape. First, visit your family physician and have a health checkup. Tell your doctor that you would like to get physically fit, and ask for his/her recommendations about your weight/height. Remember, being fit doesn't mean getting skinny and large muscles; it is being healthy and able to perform.
The military has four basic tests of physical fitness; running, push ups, sit ups and pull ups. You will be tested on how long it takes you to run 2 miles, and 5 miles. You will be tested on how many push ups and sit ups you can do in two minutes. You will be tested on how many pull ups you can do (no time limit). The only way to improve on these skills is to practice daily, and keep track of your improvement. An exercise buddy will help, if you can find someone who will exercise with you. Is it possible to jog to school, shower, then attend classes and jog home? Swimming is a skill that you will also want to have in the Navy. The more you can practice, the better you will become.
If you are overweight, you will also need to eat a PROPER diet. Try to get as much greens into your diet as possible; lettuces of all varieties, spinach, green beans, fresh fruit. The more of these you can eat raw, the more healthy they are. If you have trouble with this type of food, just think on your goal of flight school. You will want to cut out the fast food stops, potato chips, and other non-healthy foods. If you have to have these, use them as treats for accomplishing goals and only small quantities. DON'T buy a scale and weigh yourself every day. This will just discourage you, as you lose fat and gain muscle, you won't notice the difference.
If your posture is not good, work on standing straight, walking tall, and sitting up. Good posture will help your lungs bring more oxygen to your muscles and you will feel healthier.
Surprisingly, smiling also is a good way to feel better, so remember the 8th point of the Scout law.
You can do this, good luck.
Keep on Scoutin'

Well, first, study that's is known as BUD/S coaching, no longer Navy SEALs coaching. Other than that, your will will pull you by way of in case your frame can pass on my own. Depending on whilst you plan on opening, you have got lots of time to fortify your frame. Focus on consuming more healthy and understanding with cardio and anaerobic physical activities every day, as there will probably be a every day pressure positioned in your frame. Also, research a few historical past of the SEALs. That will encourage you the entire extra for those who learn approximately their many effective missions.
