How do you go about finding her?
I know the police will look....but I mean if a single, average person wanted to find them. How?
In the movies they go to bars, show pictures, offer money, beat people up, etc...

What you say you see in the pictures should stay in the pictures. Those methods could get you seriously injured or in jail. I assume you have reported it to the police. Leave it to them.

you hire a pi to do the leg work for you. they are trained and know how to handle themselves if they get in to trouble.
joe schmo can get in trouble doing it themselves with out knowing what they are doing
