I have got 5 cats. They are a lot more intelligent then most people I know. Do you really think that a cat - nature's FUSSIEST eater - would chew down a FOUL TASTING chemical ??. The wise old cat probably SPAT IT RIGHT OUT. And anyway, why do you think they cover those little round balls in something to mask the vile taste and then cover them again in a capsule ?' O.K. I know they're time release, but still. lets keep our feet on the ground, eh?
FOLLOW YOUR VET'S ADVICE.
DON'T PANIC.
IT'S OBVIOUS YOU LOVE YOUR CATS VERY MUCH - to which I say "Good on ya" (that's Aussie for 'may the force be with you')

That's awful. You may have to watch for a long long time, especially if it's an extended release. I would say about 8 hours. Maybe ask the vet about syrup of ipecac. Sorry that's the best advice I know to give.

I would call a vet NOW. Medicines for humans can do different things in cats. Try to gather up all the pellets to determine how much is missing.

The vet gave you the most sound advice. Felines react differently than humans to many pharmaceuticals....and they don't go seeking more drugs. My Husky ate 2 of my Percocets once and turned out fine.

My cat swallowed a birth control pill of mine. Yacked it up shortly after. Do what your vet says, keep an eye on them and if you notice any odd behavior bring them in.

My dog ate my stash once--seriously. It made him really sick but he recovered. Just keep an eye on them.
