if youre talking about the bechamel that covers the lasagna. (white cheesy stufff) its actually quite simple, heat some butter in a pan. wait for the water to evaporate (bubbles go away)

then add some flower, little by little, keep stirring, and keep it at low heat. the flower MUST not bake. but simply brown a bit. i simply use white wheat flower. but i think you can use any grain. dont use maizena or riceflowers.

keep adding flower until you get a thick mixture. (like pancake batter) add some milk. about 1:1. stir a bit, and add the grate cheese.

keep at low heat til the sauce thickens, and the cheese has melted. at no time during the process is the pan supposed to get too hot, using an au bain marie is best.

Flour in lasagna? I am assuming that you are making a bechamel sauce. There are a ton of recipes out there. This is my basic recipe, but I think that it might depend on your altitude.

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/4 cups milk, heated
Salt
Freshly ground pepper

Now I am not an iron chef, so I cook this on a really low heat. Let the butter melt and then add the flour. Let this cook for a few minutes. Maybe 2 - 3, you don't want the flour to brown. Then slowly whisk the milk in. I don't have a whisk so I use a fork, just use it quickly. While you are doing this add some salt and pepper. About 1 tbsp. of salt and pepper each. Depends on your taste. Add more milk as it gets thicker. This is the most milk I have ever used.

When you say flour, I assume you mean a white sauce. It;s calles a Rue. You use equal parts of fat and flour. First, melt the butter and add the flour. Cook over medium heat for a minute or 2. Next, add a couple cups of milk. Season with salt and pepper and cook a few minutes until thickened. If it's too thick, just add more milk. At this point, you have your sauce, but you can take it further by adding cheese. Personally I prefer red sauce in my lasagna.

Please tell me you don't use flour in your lasagna sauce!

Try this:

Olive oil
1-2 garlic cloves, peeled and sliced thin
1 medium onion, diced small
1 14 oz can of tomato sauce (you can also use crushed)
1 small can of tomato paste
1/4 cup red wine (optional)
Crushed dried oregano to taste
Salt to taste

Coat the bottom of your pot with olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic and cook just until you start to see a little color (it will turn a light almondy color). Be careful not to burn your garlic.

Immediately add the onion and salt and cook until the onion begins to look clear.

Add the tomato paste and stir with other ingredients until it is warmed through.

Add can of tomato sauce. Fill the can with cold water and add to the pot. Add the red wine and oregano, stir and bring the pot to a simmer.

Let the pot simmer until it cooks down and gets to a thicker consistency.

When I make lasagna, I add the meat to my sauce.

ok the easiest way i make sauce is

1 can crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato puree
1 can tomato paste
season to taste with garlic and italian seasonings(basil, oregano etc...)
cook in crockpot on high for atleast 3 to 4 hrs or on low for 6 hrs

you can also put this in a regular pot on stove and keep stirring it to make sure it does not burn but that is alot more work

and as for flour i have never heard of using it in lasagna

It is determined by the fruit or plant linked to a comparison. If perhaps you compare a farrenheit to a carrot, the carrot is the better of the two nutritional. When you compare an avocado to the carrot, then an avocado is better. Equally the apple and avocado, are fruits.
