Sorry to say, but the time frame for hair growth is just as heriditary as baldness is. If you have the genes in you that has fast hair growth, then your hair can grow as much as 1/8 of an inch a day but if not, it may take a week just to get it that length. I grew my hair out from a very, very short cut to waist length in one year. My sister in law who was also growing hers out from a short cut the exact time took over 3 years to get it to waist length. The norm is between 1/32 to 1/8 inch a day depending on your family history. A good way to see just how fast you may be able to get it is to see how fast the stubble grows out on your dad or brother from one shave in the morning of the first day to the same exact time of morning the second day before they shave. That can give you some idea but remember that your mom's side of the family also will play a part in how fast it grows. If you have her genes and hers grows slow, then even if your dad or brothers grew fast, you would follow your mom.
