Dont' feel bad, the whole point is to try to have people think for themselves.

An Atheist loves himself and his fellow man instead of a god. An Atheist accepts that heaven is something for which we should work now -- here on earth -- for all men together to enjoy. An Atheist accepts that he can get no help through prayer, but that he must find in himself the inner conviction and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, to subdue it and to enjoy it. An Atheist accepts that only in a knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment.

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

I've been hanging out here for a year roughly. The only ones that have changed their mind that I have seen have come our way. I am just trying to promote rational thought and it does work to a point.

Most of those questions really only make the Christians look silly.

Atheists are entitled to their opinion as we all are. As a Christian I take the time to read the things they say because I never want to silence my critics...they help me to see my blind sides and my faults. Then I can take them to the Lord and ask for His help in making those things right. I was in the military and the foxhole thing is true so let your heart be your guide.

Sometimes it ticks me off that there are people who are still close-minded that they can not accept that religion is an ancient form of belief that needs to be done away with. After all the ancient Greeks believed in Zeus to be real and now Zeus is considered a myth/ SO why not do the same to religion?

I don't feel anyone is out to get me personally. Many people, particularly the fundies, have a dislike of atheists as a whole.

Oh we atheists love a little rough and tumble (Figuratively speaking that is) on the subject of religion, so it's all good.

I'm a Christian and I do not want you to feel this way. What we say, we try to say with love. We love you enough to tell you about Jesus. Not all who say they are atheists are atheists. Not all who say they are Christian are Christian.

Do you know that on the Titanic the people put on life boats were women, children and non believers. The believers knew where they were going and they wanted the non believers on the boats before them. Those are true Christians.

Actually here is one of the few places I don't feel alone with regards to my lack of belief.
