I've tried nearly every shampoo product and some work well for a little while but the effectiveness slowly fades. Please help.

You could try a vinegar rinse after shampooing. You use half vinegar and half water. Like a 1/2 cup vinegar mixed with 1/2 cup water. Work it into your scalp and through your hair, then rinse it out. You can use white or apple cider vinegar.

A herbal rinse is a safe method of removing dandruff. Apply lemon juice with the rind on the scalp .After 5 minutes wash off with shampoo and water. More simple remedies at http://usefulinfo-dandruff.blogspot.com/

I have a systemic candida albicans syndrome (yeast). Some of the books I have read for that condition indicate that skin problems can result from that condition, too. Selenium is supposed to help (Selsun Blue), but if you have already tried it, then you know what it did.

The best food for candida albicans is yogurt - unsweetened with live bacteria, but that takes time. I guess you could get some anti-fungal cream (I use clotrimazole 'cause it is generic) and make your own conditioner and see if that helps.

There is some information about yeast at www.hufa.org at the yeast link.
