I normally save it to My Documents and then it will open a box to run it after you save it.

If you click "Save", it will copy the download to your computer, but not install it for you. You have to go do the install yourself. This is used if you want to copy a file down once and then install it on multiple computers. (Or save it should you need to reinstall it in the future.)

A "Run" will download the file the same as a "Save", but once it is copied it will automatically install the software for you. Usually the file is stored in a temporary location, and once the install is finished (and you don't need it any more) it is deleted.

So if you want to keep the install file for future use, do a "Save". If not, do a "Run".

I will often do a "Run" so it installs the file for me, then go back and do a "Save" and put the file away somewhere for future use. Saves me having to manually run the file....

It really depends on what you want to do with the download. If you want to save it to your computer, Click SAVE. If you want to just use the application once, Click RUN. I hope this helps you. GOOD LUCK!!!

This is the biggest reason NOT to use Internet Explorer for anything other than Windows Updates!!!

If you use "Run" and the file contains malware, your PC will be infected.

So, always use "Save", then, scan the file for malware BEFORE you open or install.

TIP: Create a Desktop Folder called "2Bscanned" and always download to it. After scanning, file normally.

it's best if you just click Save, and save it to your hard disk (but remember where).
