How sad. Have you thought about changing jobs? Perhaps you can be switched to another part of the hospital. Sounds unlikely, though, if they haven't responded to you. It's not worth staying in that position if every day you wake up dreading to go to work. Good luck to you.

I am in a similar situation and I have been diagnosed with work-related stress... I have been off work for several months now. I really don't know if I can face going back as the people responsible are very plausible and respected.

Despite offering definitive proof of their lies, I was shot-down by senior management and this happened over the last two years or so. Management have been aware of the problem but refuse to resolve it.

If you have quit your job because of this, talk to a solicitor about a possible compensation through a labour tribunal. If you feel you have been the victim of constructive dismissal, you have grounds for compensation. But you will have to have as much evidence as you can get written down with dates and times in sequence and the people involved.

It won't guarantee that you will win your case, but the principle is just. And if you are unemployed, then you should be entitled to free legal aid.

Hmmm??..outta curiosity, do you work at a Dental hospital???..would be interesting to know if it's one I know of??...read some good advice that others have posted. Sometimes there are certain people who likes to bully others out of their position. Managers also know whats going on but I'm ashamed to admit that some would turn a blind eye as to whats going on. A caring Line-Manager would take the time to listen to your concerns and find solutions, make sure that you have 'facts' written down too, might be helpful if you do decide to complain, that to put it in writing first of all to your Line-Manager or Head of Department...I have known things can improve a little, if it doesn;t then maybe its still worthwhile to look at other available posts thats similar to your own role in various departments or another NHS Trust. Its not a nice thing to be unhappy in your job where you're made to feel uncomfortable, especially where it concerns the people you work with as you spend sooo many hours a week alongside them on a weekly basis. Dont give up, I wish you you happiness !!

My friend, I went through exactly the same situation in my last job. I was a Project Manager in a leading oil and construction services company. Now, I am one of the easiest-going chaps you could meet, and yet there were about 5 - 6 colleagues who went out of their way to make it known that they just did not like my presence there.

I went into severe depression, started drinking heavily, knowing that the next morning I was going to have to get up and 'go into that awful place'!!!

I eventually got stressed out and went on the doctor's. He signed me off indefinitely. The company eventually fired me and you know what, it was one of the happiest days of my life.

Don't despair. I am now working overseas and have never been so happy in my life.

Believe me, there's always something better waiting around the corner - so get starting looking for a new job! get out of where you are!! And the best of luck!!

dont quit the NHS, just apply for a transfer to another job vacancy in another hospital, if you complain first you wont get a transfer.

Kick up a fuss, put in a complaint of harassment with higher management, take it as high as you can go!!! Don't lie down and take nonsense from anyone!

Well,if I were in your shoes I'd look for other work.No one deserves ill treatment from anyone and if no-one does something about it then that's another question mark.I'd suggest you do what you feel will suit you, quit if you wish or stay and stand your ground :-)
