I felt the Holy Spirit when I raised my hand to the invitation to be blessed by Jesus. This was new to me but unmistakable, as I felt that God had been there all the time but I had not seen Him. I felt full of love and peace and the feeling that He is in control and I could now live peacefully knowing He would be ahead of me. I loved everybody I met, and this lasted for 3 days! Like a natural high. I also immediately knew that some of the things I had been doing I would not be doing again, my choice in response to this change in me. I stopped being a flirt (I was famous for it before) and hanging out with men on my own.
You may not necessarily 'feel' forgiven which is why it's important to know the Bible, which tells us we are forgiven if we repent. One of Satans lies is to tell believers they aren't forgiven, that way he can stop us living our lives in the freedom Christ offers us.

I was an Atheist for years. But, I always felt something in my life was missing. Then I had a personal encounter with God. I was healed instantaneously by prayer from a stranger. I had crippling arthritis in my knees and was on crutches.
The event was so powerful that I could not deny the existence of God any longer.
For the first time in my life, I feel complete and free. I want for nothing and am happy with what I have.

Your question is Theologically and spiritually impossible. You need to know that God is unchanging in infinite perfect loving and merciful nature.

All of our sins are fully forgiven before we ever think to ask Him for forgiveness ! Thus when you are first physically created in your mother's womb, your are fully in God's free forgiving and lavishly merciful grace !

You also need to know that God is timeless in perfect all-knowing; He knows what you will be doing in all the eternal future, as well as now ! But that does not take away from you your full freewill choices; He just perfectly knows what these will be --and NOW IS to Him. He knows thus how much this will "blow your mind" when you later read it. :))

It is true that as you continue to forgive all of your Brothers and Sisters in the Family of God in Jesus here in Spirit, you will allow You as soul to open up and better realize the infinite love and forgiveness of God our True Father.

Initially I had a very strong attack against my mind that it didn't work and I wasn't going to be the child of God that I wanted so desparately to be but that was a lie! Soon after I committed my life to the Lord I had a strong desire to read the Bible and shed my ungodly ways, it was like taking off a jacket when it was too warm...I was glad to get rid of them! I don't know if I would be alive today had it not been for Jesus being Lord of my life.
Thanks for the opportunity to share!

I remember that I had wanted the whole world to know that I had asked Jesus into my heart. I wished that I could of gotten on top of a mountain so I could of shouted it out...it was the best feeling I ever had. And to this day it still is. The only thing i regret is that I didnt accept Jesus earlier in my life..but I got Him now and will forever be with Him.....

I had a feeling on comfort and peace that was indescribable. Yes, I knew I had been washed clean. I can't really explain how...I just knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was forgiven.

I became born again at 42 and I didn't even know what the term "born again" meant nor did I have much understanding of the things taught in the Bible. I didn't even know who or what the "Holy Spirit" was.

I had never been to church in my life excluding weddings or basic training in the military. But God arranged circumstances in my life while I was in a rehab program to where I had to go to church with another man in the program to fulfill an requirement.

All I planned on doing was going there, sitting quietly, getting a paper signed to show that I went, and that was it. But the preacher started preaching and it all seemed to make sense to me. All of my preconceived notions about what Christianity and the Bible were about that had come from television shows were shattered. But att the end when the preacher asked everyone to stand I looked at my watch and thought "Cool! Now I can get out of here".

Then he started talking about Jesus and asking if there was anyone in the congregation who wanted forgiveness of sins and unconditional love and supernatural guidance for their life. I didn't really understand exactly what he was talking about but I knew somehow that I wanted it. So when he invited people to come up for prayer and I saw other people going up something told me that it didn't matter if I understood or not, I should just go up and find out what it was all about.

I went to a small side room with a few other people and a Pastor talked with me about Jesus and then had me get on my knees and follow him in prayer while he laid his hand on my shoulder. I told God that I was opening my heart and asking to receive his Holy Spirit. Then they gave me a Bible and some literature and I left the church wondering what had happened.

It was weird because I was really stressed out before I went to church and on the way back I noticed that the burden of stress seemed to have gone away. I was wondering why I had done what I had done and didn't really know what to think about it.

Later on I learned that God draws people to Jesus and gives them the gift of faith and his Holy Spirit to those whom He has chosen to be his children.

John 6:43 Jesus answered them, "Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

Luke 11:9 And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; 12 or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Well...the first free gift I got was from Y!A, and it was a lightbulb. Then I got a tote bag. It didn't make me feel special, but at least I got a light bulb and a tote bag.
