I need some assistance here. My girlfriend and I have been together for 4 months now and we live 20 minutes apart from each other which is not bad at all. We communicate everyday with e-mail or text messaging but we don't talk on the phone all the time. Is this bad? I see her about 3 times a week...sometimes less. Please help me figure out if this is good or bad.

Neither. Some people have difficulty saying verbally what they want and find other means of doing so, ie texting etc. But, it is still important for a relationship to be able to verbally have talks with each other. Try and change this in your relationship, because if it gets to a serious stage, ie living together, you won't have texting anymore.

I don't care if you were sending smoke signals back and forth...communication is communication. The answers you're really seeking are inside of you....none of us can answer realistically whether this is good or bad because we're not personally affected one way or the other by things that happen....but YOU are. And for you to have even asked the question in the first place, I suspect you don't feel as if it's enough. So listen to your instincts and modify things to the extent that you can. (There is no formula for how things have to go, though. You're free to be creative...this is YOUR relationship, after all). Good luck to you.

No, I don`t think anything's wrong with this.
Phone her more often than usual, since communicating with someone through phone is way better than e-mails, chat, etc. You can "express" your feelings more when it`s on the phone also. So yeah.

:)
