Well if you eat too much muesli it is fattening, I only have muesli occasionally because I've found as I've gotten older that it gets harder and harder to stay slim. So I always write down the amount of kilojoules in everything that I eat and then I calculate the amount of KJs I've burned during the day to get my total KJ intake for the day.

So I know all this sounds boring but the fact is that you have to eat everything in moderation. If you want to eat muesli you will have to cut back on something else or exercise it off.

Live's hard isn't it?

Too much of almost anything can make you gain weight, it's a matter of portion size. Calories per weight is usually printed on the side of the box. You can buy sugar free Muesli, I think the Co-op brand is pretty good and tastes okay. Less fattening and much healthier.

Some of the most popular brands have quite a lot of sugar in them. I buy mine from Holland and Barrett and there's no sugar at all in it. I like to add a sliced banana - which I suppose is a bit fattening - but it's lovely.

I'm not being cheeky - but read the list of ingredients, and watch out for sugar, fructose, honey, etc...

Depends what you have with it! If you poured double cream over it then yes, itd be fattening. But muesli with milk is fine... boring and tastes like cardboard, but fine! ;O) xx

Anything is fattening if you eat too much of it. If you eat more calories than you burn, you will gain weight.

I think oats have quite a lot of fat in them, but are a source of slow release energy so you won’t need to snack on other foods etc till lunch (well apparently anyway!)
