I don't think you need a lawyer right now unless Workmen's comp is refusing to pay. You should talk to Workmen's Comp and to your doctor to find out what happens later if you have problems again after it's first fixed. I had a friend who was on Workman's Comp, had surgery, went back to work, and then a few months later had problems again and needed another surgery. Workman's Comp covered that surgery and her time off from work again with no problem whatsoever. Her doctor just needed to confirm that her second surgery was due to her original on-the-job injury.

IMMEDIATELY!!!!! Most workers comp lawyers work on a percentage basis of your winnings. I became disabled on my job by my knees being ruined. I went through 6 surgeries and am having more trouble now. Get a decent workers comp lawyers, as with all sharks there are some real thieves out there who are not in your best interest. I talked to 4 before I decided which one I would use. They were competent. Kept me informed all along, I rarely ever did anything. I was forced by my job to go on disability but my lawyer also got me a big, fat settlement when I won my case. I would much rather have my full use of my legs back and hips back instead of the money. Make sure your lawyers knows that you want to be compensated for pain and suffering and treatment, now and after you win your case!!! It is a hard battle to fight but don't let your employer get you down. Never listen to them without first consulting with your lawyer!!! Good Luck and God Bless You!!!! So sorry you got hurt so badly!!

Yes, I would say that before you do any paperwork with your job that you contact a lawyer. There are lawyers that handle workmanscomp specifically. Although there will at some point be a fee I am sure, it will not be at first. They are aware that you were injured and likely it has put you in a financial bind. There job is to make things easier for you, make sure that no one takes advantage of you, and to let you just worry about recovering while they get for you everything financially that you need. It is a lot of paperwork and alot of "big words" and they know all the ins and outs.
I learned with my bf's comp that you need to get it started immediately, they look at everyday with a microscope since the injury and since you have had significant medical issues its best to have everyone up to speed.
Give a couple of them a call and see what they have to say, I am sure no one expects $$ up front, and they will be very helpful.
I'm sorry you are hurt, Get Better Soon!
Good job typing with your "other hand"! ;-)

If it is guilt as to why you are reluctant, don't feel so. You have a legitimate injury and I know that you did not do this to yourself intentionally. No matter how nice your boss or company is to you, you should consult with an attourney just to get some professional advice. Of course , he or she will want to sue your company. personal injury cases bring big money settlements for attourney's. But the real reason is your future. You don't have to worry about being fired. The chance of you having problems with your hand in the future is more than likely. Don't sit on this one, you will have regrets in the future. On the same token, don't let it eat you up inside by doing something you can't live with. Good Luck

Now I am in a beautiful drawback, or is that at the horns of a drawback? I have a buddy of fifty years who's each an lawyer and a political candidate. Are you telling me I will have to pay extra concentration whilst selecting my peers? He is the on attorney I have any touch with if that issues. The quality factor approximately legal professionals is it simplest takes a rectangular foot of floor to bury one and there is not any want for a backhoe. All you must do is stand him on his head and screw him into the bottom. I love the Viagra one. That is the one one I hadn't heard earlier than. Thanks for the chuckles, even supposing you may have heard them earlier than they're valued at revisiting.

Definitely get a lawyer. They are not free, but you will need the help and if you get a settlement, their fee can come as a percentage of the awarded settlement.

I think you should get a consult with an attorney. I dont believe they are free- but your initial consult should be. I hope that your hand will be ok!
