Who says that God will always forgive you? There are places in the Bible that tell us that God will not forgive us. In one place it says that if we do not forgive others for their transgressions neither will our father in heaven forgive us for our transgressions. It is true that God forgives us no matter how bad we are or how much we sin but only if we come to him in faith in confessing Him as our Lord. So the answer is those who are not forgiven end up in hell.

Hell is a place of distruction, a place to forget and separate, do away with and consume all that is sinful in the sight of God. It is not a place of eternal torture as most mainstream church teaching would ascribe. The Bible doesn't support eternal torment and it never has. God does not always forgive...His mercies are new every morning and salvation is provided through grace but in order to recieve it, you have to understand three things...
You have to worship the one true God - (Worship means to acknowledge, serve and love)
Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is God.
Ya'shua (I Am Salvation) Messiah (The Anointed One) is Ya'hovah (I Am that I Am). Most christians don't even get this and many religious sects teach that Jesus is a created being or a "lessor" god. The Bible says other wise and shows that He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob of the Old Testament and that all things were created through Him, By and for Him and that you don't live, move or have your being except by His Power and Might.
You have to confess that you are a sinner -
All people have fallen short and there is no one rightious though some men and women have pleased God by the ways of their hearts being inclined toward Him more than others. However, we all sin...we have to see that sin and admit to it and not rationalize. Adam and Eve sinned in the garden..but if they had gone to God and asked for forgiveness instead of hiding and making excuses: Eve blaming the devil, Adam blaming Eve and even God..."this woman YOU Made me.." the we wouldn't be having this conversation. He would have forgiven them and restored them back to their childlike innocence. God is no respector of persons...we all are but filthy rags to Him except and in where we are willing to recieve that sacrifice that He made to make us clean...to be given those gleaming white robes. Its as if to you are saying...I sin, I hate my sin, given a choice I wouldn't sin or even know anything about it. That is the next step...
You have to repent and turn away from your sin...
Can't repent unless you see your sin for what it is and that means turning to the Word of God and have Him show you where you are screwing up. The 10 Commandments are the beginning of this kind of wisdom. Jesus said "If you love me you will keep my commandments...all of them." Well, naturally we don't have to keep the "blood" atonement laws...and the new testament tells us that each man should be convicted about the food laws, holy days and so forth...However, we are implored by the NT writers to constantly look back and adhere to those commandments which make us holy and pleasing to the Lord. However, the most important of all you walk with God is to understand when He said..."Its not what goes into a man that makes him defiled but what comes out..." Words, attitudes, injustices, unkindness, lies, boastings and etc. So...the only way you can know how to please God and walk with Him is to stay in His Word and He promised...If you remain in Me (the Word, Jesus is the Word) then I will remain in you (the Holy Spirit which guides us).
So yes, there is a hell...and some will go there...because they chose themselves and what can we do for ourselves...Nothing. So that is what they will become. Jesus died to make all things new, for me and for you. In the New Heaven and the New Earth there will be none of this dying, sinning, sorrow or suffering....it will all be consumed. That is what "hell" means...The Hebrew word is Sheol...literally...to be covered over.
Read your Bible...start at the beginning and don't stop...pray often and don't be distracted by the world or things in it...there isn't much time left. Read the Book of Matthew first. Love in Christ, ~J~

Hi, well yes God does forgive everything which is why I used not to believe in hell myself, but when I became a Christian I discovered that that's not what Christianity says, it's not in the Bible. God forgives those who repent and believe in Jesus. In romans 3:23 it says, ' for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.'
We know that we must repent and accept this free gift of grace.
In Acts 2:38 Peter said, ' repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.'
The message is that it is only through Jesus that we can see God, which is what Jesus said.
Modern days mean we are encouraged to believe that everything we want to believe is equally true, so the message of the Bible is unpopular, but that doesn't mean it isn't true!

God only forgives people who want to be forgiven.
To be forgiven you have to admit you made a mistake, understand what that mistake is, learn from the mistake and then stop making the mistake.
If you do not admit making mistakes, if you do not understand what the mistakes are, if you do not learn from your mistakes and you do not stop making the mistake (or at least make a sincere in your heart attempt at stopping your mistakes) then you do not go to Heaven.
If you want a simile, Earth is like school and Heaven is like graduation. People who follow the rules and listen to the teacher graduate. People who ignore the rules and/or the teacher do not graduate.
This is such a brain dead simple concept that it always amazes me when people do not understand it.

God does forgive but we can and do reject God. Heaven is not the reward. A supernatural, eternal communion with our Creator is the only significant reward. Heaven is just a place where that communion occurs.
If we want our independence from God, then we reject Him and His communion. Hell is a place God has provided for those who want to be apart from Him. Hell is a refuge from a God we reject.

Hmmm...that would be an ecumenical matter. also it depends on what particular branch of which particular religion you are referring to, but if we assume you are referring to to the church of England and /or Catholicism then it is not merely a matter of forgiveness, it is also a matter of your accepting the basic tenets of that faith, basically there are a certain number of preset conditions that must be fulfilled prior to getting your foot through the pearly gates, amongst these (in the christian ideal) is the acknowledgement that Jesus died for your sins and you must genuinely repent for their sins. "those who intend to turn to god at the 11th hour often expire at 10.50" being the general jist of it. many religions have similar clauses, and several christian based ones offer a "get out of hell free" card through confession and last rights, although they also stipulate that you must be baptised/christened to become a paid up member of the angelic hosts

God created us with a free will. We can choose to accept the gift of eternity in heaven or we can refuse God. When we accept Him as our Savior He will wipe away our sins. We repent and ask for forgiveness and He washes us clean.

Because while God forgives, one must first ask for forgivness. If a judge offered to pay the bail of a convict, the convict must be willing to accept the bail.
