As an occultist I see the human soul as the higher self within us all which comes into incarnation time after time in order to become a living God while in the world. The soul is a divine being that overshadows us all along our many incarnations and will forever be with us through out all eternity as we carry on with the job of evolution in becoming a divine being.

The Bible is perfectly clear on this subject.

The soul is no where thought of as some mystical spirit that is eternal and goes off somewhere when we die , rather , the truth according to the Bible is that it is the ¨whole living being¨.

Yes ,the soul eats , bleeds and dies and does not go to heaven or a fiery torture place called hell when we die.

The soul is simply 'US' , as a complete and living person.
