Hi World-wide, I have been studying the Book of Revelation for the past 20 years and it is a fascinating book.
I am currently conducting a seminar on Revelation entitled - "Revelation for the 21st Century".
I notice from some of the comments that you have already received that people say that it's too hard to understand. Think about it - Why would God give us a book that we can't understand? Doesn't make sense does it?
A point that may people miss is that it is a revelation of Jesus Christ and to understand it properly we have to understand what it meant to the first century readers of the book as it was passed around the early Christian churches.
We know that it was written around 95 A.D. by John who had been exiled on the Island of Patmos and that it was written primarily to 7 churches in Asia (Modern Turkey).
One of the difficulties that we have in the 21st century is discovering the symbolism that John uses as he never makes a direct quote from the Old Testament so it requires a great deal of study to pick up on the language allusions that he makes.
Some modern commentators try to apply the book to the literal nation of Israel, whereas it was clearly addressed to the Christian church and as a result there has been a great deal of speculation that cannot be supported from the Bible.
It would take me all night to give you a complete rundown on the book, however in a very brief form it is an encouragement to us to make a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.
The latter half of the book deals with prophetic events that will wind up this earth's history with the return of Jesus to take His faithful followers home.
Some of the interpretations that have been made about this are just plain ludicrous and speculative. I refer to some of the wild ideas put forward by the TV evangelists.
If you are serious there is one commentary that I can recommend - Revelation of Jesus Christ by Ranko Stephanovic ISBN 1-883925-32-0. It contains the latest scholarship thinking on the Revelation with clear biblical references so that lay people can follow it and what's more it actually makes sense and will draw you closer to the Saviour.
I hope that this has been of some help to you,
God Bless,
H'chat.

The Book of Revelation is the last book in the Bible and tells what will have in the end times. Most of what it has to say has not happened yet.

There is no such book as Revelition. If you mean the biblical book Revelations then I think it's a message to ancient jews. It clearly describes the roman empire. It was written in a symbolic tone. It was never ment to apply to our generation. God is not real and neither is anything in the bible.

Already fulfilled. It describes Jesus' judgment and destruction of the Roman Empire (27BC -1453 AD). It's a done deal.
