people I am not talking about whether or not it was accidental.. i am talking about people who abuse drugs. Please don't say it's not up to us... I'm not telling you to judge. I basically want to know what your viewpoints on this are,and that alone.

Obey the laws of the land is a commandment, but that's really nonsense, isn't it? Because the commandments have nothing to do with getting into heaven. All that matters is that the gentleman or lady in question believed in Jesus Christ with all his/her heart before they died, and they'll go to heaven.
Some people may disagree, but this is actually the fact of the Bible here, if you choose to believe in such things. Accepting Christ is the only requirement to going to heaven.

Whether they died of drugs is irrelevant in my opinion. The bible says that the thing that separates man from God is sin. Our sins must be paid for. That's what Jesus did on the cross. He paid for the sins of the world. That opened the door to heaven. Now the question is 'are you going to walk through that door'? You walk through the door by accepting Christ as your personal savior. I don't believe you can lose your salvation. 1John 5:13 says "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God". It's certainly possible that this person may have accepted Christ somewhere in his/her past
and then fell back into past habits and died of an overdose and is still in heaven. In any event, the drug overdose by itself is not going to send anyone to hell.

No. From a Christian perspective, there are a lot more factors that determine the state of the soul in the afterlife than what the person was doing at the time of death. I see no more reason to assume that a person dead of an overdose will end up in hell than a preacher who has a heart attack in the middle of his sermon.

if the person was not in their right mind, but was a Christian...no they wouldn't...
but if the person was never saved, and not in their right mind it's a possibility they would , but then we don't really know what happens on the other side...they may have a place for the one that didn't believe to have a chance to change that decision...who knows....but i feel God has a lot of secrets over there we want know about til we get there.....

No. Some people die of accidental overdose which means they are not taking the drugs/meds in excess for the specific purpose of comitting suicide.

If the individual was a professed Christian, then the manner of death does not determine whether or not they wind up in Hell. If the individual was not a professed Christian, they'll end up in Hell regardless.

Nobody knows for sure where a person will end up.But overdosing deliberately breaks the fifth commandment.

No, I don't believe they automatically go to hell. It's the same with suicides. Ultimately, the decision is God's, not mine. And the God I know is merciful.

Only born again Christians are going to heaven. Is a drug abuser a born again Christian?

NO if they are Christian, yes if they are not. God saves people that is his mission and passion that drove Him to the cross. If a believer struggling with addiction dies in his struggle yet has faith Jesus can save him he will inherit eternal life.
