If you feel environment is not favourable for crying just go to a private room and cry as much as you can. Holding back is not a good option

I cry all I want...I just do it in private. My kids don't need to see mom having a jag, can't bawl in front of my co-workers, especially if one if them is the source of my emotional trauma and my husband is always at a loss to know what to do. I can cry with my best friend but only when I am deeply enraged or bewildered with emotion. The crying I do the most is in privacy while I talk to God. I figure no one else on the face of the planet knows or can feel or even really remotely understand what's going on in my head and heart anyway...not really. With Him...I don't even have to describe it. So yeah...crying is an excellent way to work through a problem, relieve stress and vent feelings. I have the most difficulty NOT crying when I'm angry and yet I get angry less when I give into a good outrageous fit...but I do it in private. Very cathartic and therapeutic. God gave us emotions for a reason....so just excuse your self and let it go. I most often times indulge in the front seat of my truck parked some place secluded. Good luck to you...love in Christ, ~J~

I've always done that too. I sometimes still feel just the same way as you - weak, immature, and pathetic. I think the thing we have to deal with is making sure that we have a time to release those emotions, because the guy above is right, it will make you sick. I had to deal with some heart problems because of it.
We need to find somebody we can be weak with. Somebody we can cry to who won't think we are as pathetic as we think that we are. That's what a real friend is for.
I also just cry to God sometimes. I know he listens, so sometimes I just vent to Him. That may require tears sometimes, but no matter what, I know he doesn't think I'm stupid.
Hope that helps.

Whenever you need to cry just go for it sister. Your not afraid to laugh when your happy are you? No! So don't be afraid to cry when your saddened, depressed, or deeply touched. Crying comes from the heart and that's just showing everyone you have one. As long as your not doing it to attract attention or doing it while driving I think it's a good thing. Nobody wants people to see them cry, and I don't know why. When you see somebody cry is the first thing that comes into your mind ' Oh what a wussy'? No! usually the first thing you feel is compassion followed closely by the willingness to find out what the problem is and to see if you can help.(not all people but most) It's healthy and it's a heart reaction don't be ashamed of it be proud that you have a good heart, you should be.GOD BLESS & GOOD LUCK!!

What does lamentations mean? Crying actually washing away feelings of grief and pain. God gave us tears to relieve us of discomforts in life. People that do not cry and think it is a sign of weakness or immaturity is wrong are emotions are like a pressure cooker. If we do not release things by our tears it can cause serious illness. Jesus cried for Israel. Matthew 23:37-39. There is a book of lamentations in the Bible. Chapter 2:11. My eyes fail from weeping,I am tormented within.my heart is poured out on the ground because my people are destroyed, because children and infants or faint in the streets.

It expresses your true heart and others will really know where you are coming from.
Once my youngest daughter, who loves plane rides to her grandpa's house, saw the planes fly into the towers and she asked me, "How come?" I said some, "some bad guys took control of the plane and were angry so they thought is was a way to strike back in anger." Then she asked me, "How did the good people get out of the plane?" When I looked at her my eyes welled with tears and my throat choked up and I said, "that they didn't" as tears rolled down my face and she knew something wrong has happened in the world.
I am 6 foot one, 210 pounds former Army Paratrooper, have done undercover work for the DEA, and I knew my tears would say more then words could, so I let them.

If you need to cry just let it go, holding back emotions cannot be good for you. There is nothing wrong with it, some people are more emotional than others, they need to let out their feelings by crying. I say cry when the feeling hits you, just always carry around a pocket full of tissue paper.

Let it go sister! :) It is a human impulse and no more wrong than laughter!!! God gave us emotions to express our feelings. I'm not much of a crier either, but when I do, I could go all day! :P Have you ever seen the Dane Cook Vicious Circle? Has some choice language in it and other material not suitable for children, but the part about crying...SO TRUE. LOL

One may cry for all kinds of reasons but here is why some pure devotees cry as they ponder: "My Lord, because of separation from You, I consider even a moment a great millennium. Tears flow from my eyes like torrents of rain, and I see the entire world as void."
Transcendental love is real and everyone can experience it when properly guided by a bona fide spiritual master.

It's never okay to cry in public, or while driving. It's like bleeding with wolves about. You just don't want anybody to see that you're helpless, because more people than you think know how to use you, and how to use your emotions to their advantage.
It's acceptable to cry in your own home, alone, to get it out of your system. But even then, I wouldn't do it.
