will it be a stiff kind of frosting like meringue frosting or soft??

so it's not like meringue frosting??
it's just like regular frosting??

Buttercream is on the 'soft' side...but I wouldn't really say that meringue is really stiff. You can add more confectioners sugar to make it stiff, but if it is too stiff, you won't be able to spread it on the items that you are frosting. Soooo, buttercream is soft enough or stiff enough to spread on a cake, cupcakes, etc. Certainly not like pudding, and not like a cold stick of butter from the fridge. Does this help?

It's a softer but easy to decorate with frosting. It sure is good!!!
