I am truly curious to find out of all the wars, actions, police actions, black bag operations work (known to those in the field as wet work), etc., etc., etc. are initiated and instigated by 'christians' in the 'name' of their so-called 'beneficient', 'loving', 'kind', 'caring', etc., etc., etc. 'creator' 'god' and 'trinity'? What truly beneficient, loving, kind, caring and REAL God or Goddess would have their people commit genocides the way even their own texts and religious documents ADMIT they have throughout time? How many have died not to return to their loved ones on this Earth because of this 'god'? How many more people will die in the 'name' of their 'god' before he has satiated his bloodlust?! And this is beneficient? This is loving? This is kind? This is caring? This is anything BUT!!!!!! This is INSANITY!!!!!!

I'm not a Christian (used to be... would like to find the true God if he exists) but this is one thing that has always baffled me. I believe the bible does indeed say that all things are being done by the counsel of Gods will... so everything that happens is the will of God? Why would a loving God put billions of people on the planet knowing since before he created them that they wouldn't turn to him, thus damning themselves? This is one thing that caused me to turn away from it all. However, a thought still remains in my mind. If God is love and love never fails... then perhaps if God does indeed exist maybe he never did put humans on Earth knowing they'd endure eternal torment. Maybe *no one* is going to endure eternal torment. And that everything indeed does happen for a reason. Maybe earth is a training ground for all of humanity that God himself is the loving father of and that eventually; all will be saved. I don't think he could claim to be just, and all loving, and merciful until forever if this wasn't the case... I don't know. I'm just rambling. As for now, I'm pretty much an atheist. I do somewhat believe in a higher power, but not the God that is advertised by mainstream Christianity. If it *is* the mainstream God of Christianity, maybe he's nothing like the mass majority of Christians paint him out to be. Maybe he is the father of everyone and most Christians have him all mixed up. If this were true, I think I'd return to him in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it is...

Less than 1%. Wars are mostly concentrated between 1095 and 1648 and not even all of the conflicts in this time period are religious, take the 100 Years War for instance. After that religion takes a back seat to national policy/defense and resource acquisition. If you want proof read a history book.

about as many as heathens that have warred for their gods. is your point that christians are humans with flaws? then, hooray! you "proved" it! if your problem is christianity itself, then, you have a problem, because we have a right to exist, whether you like it or not. and what is your problem with orphanages, nursing homes, soup kitchens, shelters etc? how many of these were established in the name of baal? krishna? mohammed? look, if you donb't want to be a christian, then don't be one. the least you could do is examine your own life and how you contribute to the world, rather than rant and rave about time gone by and no one can change. grow up!

How many of the wars on the earth were instigated and initiated by 'atheists'?
Stop blaming God for the things men do.
You obviously do not know God.

Not one. The crusades involved a lot of men who put on shirts with red crosses and then slaughtered people for the Roman Empire. They were NOT Christian.
By the way - this question qualifies as a rant and will be deleted forthwith.

First, I agree with everyone else: go learn some actual history. Secondly, do you mean "benevolent" because I am not sure if beneficient is even a word?
