We are suppose to be exactly the way that Jesus taught us to be in the bible. however, due to satan's controll over our minds and hearts and also the free will that God has given us we drifted away from God to be under the control of Satan. In the beginning was a law and it was disobeyed, with Noah there was a law, with Moses there was a law. Thanks to our Savior Jesus, he came down to walk the exact way that we should walk to achieve total peace and freedom from Satan. If we would only just follow all of his way we would have peace with each other and Heavenly Father. We are not hear for ourselves.
Mat 25: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Mat 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Mat 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink?
Mat 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]?
Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me.
Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Both. Some people are more effective by performing actions. Others are more effective by forming social connections. A third group may be more effective by using prayer and meditation. It takes all kinds to make the world go round.

No, they would rather huddle together to discuss plans of "ambushing" the non-religious people. That's what church is for. Making plans of attack, arming themselves with religious paraphernalia....such as wooden signs declaring Jesus lives, and then setting about frightening people into converting or risk burning in hell.

False. According to the bible, good works will not get you into heaven. So why bother? Accept jesus into your life, then be an aszhole in life.... ask god for forgiveness for your bad behaviour... then go out the next day and continue being an aszz.... then ask god to forgive your sins... then go back at it the next day.....
Heah... why not???... you're already 'saved' and going to heaven! AND... you're NOT supposed to do 'good works'.

peace be upon you
i am muslim , but i think the church is the same as the mosque (God's homes) .We take in it lessons learn us how to help our community and help ourselves . i think also when i visit the God's home that i feel relaxation in my heart.
It is also don't take much time ,we easily waste it in unuseful work.

Try "in addition to" rather than "instead of" and you would be right.
That is in fact, how things are typically done.
The real question is ... why don't you know that already?

Why cannot I do both????
You should know that any and all "good" that any man does is FILTHY RAGS in God's eyes UNLESS IT IS DONE **FOR HIM**
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
