The world would be like today if there were no monotheistic religions? Would it be better off? Or worse?
Or would it just be downright confusing?
Thanks for you answers, blessed be.

Actually, the inhabitants of Egypt before it was even known as Egypt were among the first monotheists, predating Judaism by quite a bit. Or at least that's what every text I've ever read on the subject has told me. :-D

The first Monotheistic Religion was started by a guy called Zoroaster long before Judaism.
Ignorance is really unnecessary, if you want to learn.

Every man doing that which was right in his own eyes, would be total chaos. Read the book of Judges in the Old Testament. Violence would be the norm for the day. Dictators would wind up reigning, and we all know what happens there, innocent people die.

Judaism was the first religion with only the worshipping of one God. And so is christianity in all its forms even though there are actually three persons in one God. These are the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Hypothetical question but for the fun of it, let's say it would be like hell. Egotism would become the only way of life. Without the uniting God factor, the law of the jungle would take over.

Some people are kept in line by the promise of paradise; whether that be a bunch of virigins or a vague concept. Take that control away and they'd go crazy, In general, people don't have morals, they have fear of eternal hell-fire.

The world would be the same as God spoke of in the scriptures. God said it so it will be done. Just like he said and sent the prophets to tell. Matthew chapter 24. Signs of the end of the age. The world will have birth pains!

Would be intersting to see what wold happenif Indigenous groups were able to hold onto their Indigenous spirituality.
Not sure if it'd be better or worse - But I bet there'd be no major wars as such. Maybe a few local schmishes..

I can't imagine a world without monotheistic religions in the present because I can't imagine a world where in the discovery and mystery of existence does not make possible a diversity, variety and number of ways of making up our minds about self and world only limited by our collective abilities and powers of imagination.
The drama of life and death comes from the existence of discovery and mystery. The existence of discovery and mystery makes possible the construction of models of self and world that include; spirit and no soul; no spirit and no soul; no spirit and soul; and spirit and soul. The existence of discovery and mystery makes Gnostic Theism, Agnostic Atheism, Gnostic Atheism, and Agnostic Theism valid possibilities for souls to choose from when building a model of self and world to order self toward existence and explain existence to self. A diversity, variety and number of ways of making up our minds only limited by our collective abilities and imaginations makes the global culture a far more entertaining place then would exist if everyone made up their minds about self and world in exactly the same way.
I believe soul is a part of self that is divine and eternal. I believe spirit is a part of world that is divine and eternal. I believe an infinity, divinity, eternally, one manifests as an infinite four; seed, body, soul and spirit of immeasurable dimensions. Souls choose to construct models that differ because thought, feeling and action possibilities are limited to those made available for souls to choose from by the unconscious minds created by bodies. Everyone has different life experiences. Everyone has a different point of view. Everyone believes about self and world in a different way. Their own way. I say Infinity, Divinity, Eternally One gives you the grace to Love Our Gods Your way. Do as you please.

I don't think it would help things, we'd probably resort to fighting about which gods make the list of "real gods" - hey, your Mars is a ripoff of my Ares!
