I bought an Altima coupe and I do indeed love it, but my car has had way too many problems in 3 weeks. I had the dashboard break on my twice (still broken, they didnt fix it yet) and during that time period, I was not able to use my speedometer either (mph bar stayed at 0). Obviously.. my car had some issues. I was actually offered a brand new coupe with a v6 engine from another nissan dealer, in exchange for mine and some money. I paid aprox. 31k for the total including warrnties, tax, and I financed. I found out I got a pretty bad APR (8.9%) for such good credit (over 700). The other dealer said I may be losing some money by trading the coupe in.. but it would be made up for because I would be getting 1.2% APR from this dealer. I was also told that I have the right to return my vehicle because it already had 2 problems that endangered me as a driver (because I could not see how many mph I was at) and also 1 minor problem with the tires. What are my options. I am seriously not pleased

If you want to pay even more money to trade in your car for yet another new car be my guest. I think you should contact e-loan.com and get a 6.5% refinance of the car and then allow the dealer to make the necessary repairs. If the car cannot be repaired then it will qualify under the US lemon law for replacement by Nissan, please see your owners manual for full details. A dashboard electrical problem should be fixable, but if they can't...then they owe you another car of equivalent value.

Contact Nissan consumers affairs then allow the dealer to repair the car. 3 strikes on a saftey related item spedo should be a reason not to drive that car and have Nissan give you another car. On financing you have to be very carefull purchasing $30,000 over 6 years your rate means 45,000 pay back. I would have thought you would be put into a car to drive while the parts get installed into your car. Instrument panels haven't been a problem as the matter of fact we have not seen any problem with the new coupe Here in Texas.

It's a lemon. Return it. Check your state's lemon laws.

The dealer you bought it from should exchange it with something of equal value (or give you your money back). Do NOT go to the other dealer to "exchange" it.
