I have been in retail management for a while and now work at a banking call center. What would you suggest knowing only that information?

Call centres are part of the world of the future. Companies operate small internal ones, call centre methods are being applied to things all areas of business. So places will have their desk task also answer telephones like a call centre.

But the problem is outsourcing, however your strength is management. You should be looking to be a call centre manager. It is an interesting and challenging job, that if you are smart and get it right there is little work to do (because once everyone is trained and motivated they will work without much management).

But to think outside the box you can start to think about a whole range of customer service areas where your management skills can be applied.

I would also suggest that you do some supevisor management courses to boost your resume (or a business/management degree).

Good luck
