Normally, because somebody like myself just chewed him out for something _you_ did.
I rarely chewed out a soldier - I chewed out his NCO.

Maybe because of jackasses. You think the Army is bad try out the Marines like I did. Marine NCO's are not as kind as Army NCO's so you should keep your mouth shut and do what your told.
If you have a problem just carry out the order and after when you can catch the NCO alone then you would say Cpl or Sgt So and So here is what I have to say about earlier. If you are respectful they should have no problem talking about whatever on your mind. But if you just say f u c k them then they will say f u c k you and you'll be cleaning toilets everyday for a long time.

When a Non-Commisioned Officer has a "pissy fit" attack, it probably stems from having their *** chewed by their chain of command. This is usually derived from one of their soldiers not living the Army Values, and acting like they are still back on the block.

Because Privates do some dumb stuff. Just remember: the calmer an NCO is, the more he has to unleash when you throw on the straw that broke the camel's back.

actually it is a psychology thing does he get your attention? do you want it again? do you think you will remember what set him off? do you think you just might do it right the next time so he doesn't go off on you again. Be glad hes yelling at you after 11+ years in the army the one i remember most was my DI who got sooooooooooo mad he didn't say a word he threw his hat and it got damaged there was 1 man and 65 of us and we KNEW not think we were all going to die and for the next 4 hours we found out we weren't that lucky

because we got fat azzes that can't pass pt tests, we have joes show up whenever they want to. disrespect from the lower enlisted is at an all time high. ever heard of the saying sh!t rolls downhill. when a joe makes me look bad, i make him/her look worse. now i am not a dick to any soldier but i am sick and tired of this new army, "oh i don't want to hurt joes feelings" ;;;so excuse us for having a pissy fit. try to pass a pt test and will be just peachy

ok, since my hubby has been a NCO, he has had to deal with privates that don't know how to tie their shoe laces!!! when you act dumb, the NCO is going to get on your azz, plain and simple, cause not only does he get his azz chewed by his SSG, but his 1SGT and his COM. YOU only get chewed by him. Can you understand why when he tells you to be at the motorpool at 1230, and you show up at 1240, why he would be mad?? For every action there is a reaction, and your lack of responsiblility makes him have to play 'daddy ' to you, which no one wants to do at work!!!!
