What do you think of what this man has to say about terrorism according this fatwa?
"Council of Saudi ‘Ulama', fatwa of February 2003:
"What is happening in some countries from the shedding of the innocent blood and the bombing of buildings and ships and the destruction of public and private installations is a criminal act against Islam. ... Those who carry out such acts have the deviant beliefs and misleading ideologies and are responsible for the crime. Islam and Muslims should not be held responsible for such actions."
The Dawn newspaper, Karachi, Pakistan, February 8, 2003, http://www.dawn.com/2003/02/08/top17.htm; also in "Public Statements by Senior Saudi Officials Condemning Extremism and Promoting Moderation," May 2004, http://www.saudiembassy.net/ReportLink/Report_Extremism_May04.pdf, page 10"

I must say I agree with the quote you have there. Islam, while a bit more conservative than say Christianity, is still a beautiful religion. Unfortunately many have taken up arms in the name of Islam but I know that no god that may exist would ever condone their actions.

I love the Moslem greeting "Peace Be Upon You" and in fact, I see that it was used in the Bible. So I hope you will not consider it rude, if I--a non Moslem--take your beautiful greating upon my own lips, and wish Peace Be Unto You.
I consider those remonstrances by Saudi authorities very good. However, most Moslems do not seem to truly feel that way.
Statements to newspapers and such are one thing, but when Moslems get truly upset--as over those ludicrous cartoons of Muhammad--they take to the streets in mass demonstrations!
Obviously most Moslems are NOT against the murderous terrorist atrocities being committed in the name of Islam, or we would be seeing large public demonstrations against them in the Moslem world.
But the world watches and waits, and the Moslem silence is deafening; speaking louder than all the 'fatwas' prepared for the consumption of the West's newspapers..........

Great.
Now, when are they going to issue a death threat against these terrorists?
If Salman Rushdie can be issued with a fatwa demanding his execution for writing a book, what should happen to these terrorists who are shedding innocent blood?
Or would that not go down too well in Saudi Arabia?

Yeah, sorry but if a minority of Muslims are committing violent acts, I will hold it against them as I would any other group.
In Pakistan Osama Bin Laden is more popular than their president.
