In todays world, we (people) claim that everything is going so well. The economic is doing well. We have billionairs and millionaires. We can telecommute to almost everywhere. Life is just great. Almost everyone forgets that we achieve these with the expenses of others.

People, when are we going to wake up from this dream. As much as I like the free enterprise system, it still does not solve this global mass. It is sad to say but I think we will never going to see "heaven on earth".

In my book, intelligent in screwing with each other does not count. We are no different from animals. We only won it by being at the top of the food chain.

Peace!

You know, I have to say that I believe dolphins and elephants are smarter than us.

Did you know elephants cry from emotions? They use tools when needed? They take their dead to the "graveyard" and come back yearly to visit their ancestors and arrange the bones....

Pretty wild....pretty civilized.

Dolphins blow me away. I read an article about an autistic child who was actually treated by a dolphin. The creature pulled him out of his shell, when no human could. Amazing.

In His Love,

Well, I think consciousness and nifty complex brains do make us the most intelligent on this planet, at least. We can survive and propogate the species, adapting to our environment like no other. We are not perfect, however. Of course every action has consequences, often unpleasant ones. We do things that are harmful to our own selves and planet. You think other species live in harmony with one another? Species compete for resources...often causing others to go extinct. Species kill other members of their species too, they just can't do it as efficiently as we can.
What can you do about it? It's human nature. We are selfish like all creatures; we think of our own community's survival and disregard the whole. Like every animal. But we can use tools to improve our wellbeings better than any other species is capable of doing.
There will never be "heaven on earth" because it isn't possible for every action to have a benevolent outcome.

What solution are you proposing? Free enterprise works better than anything else that people have come up with.

And you are barely figuring this out now!?!!

- In a few years, we are going to be in the greatest stock crash in history...just wait for. Economic experts have been predicting this since the 80s and could possibly occur as early as 2016-2024. I'm am morbidly trying to prepare and get out of the U.S. as soon as possible.

- People are so lazy, and selfish...they burn fuel using jet skis and trips to starbucks. Binge drinking is on the rise in our schools. OH, BUT THAT's the COOL THING to do... getting so drunk that you are about to pass out and have to call an ambulance. And worst of all... when are people going to understand we are over-populating our planet to the point of ecological collapse. They should just insert a ban in every country to limit families to one child per house-hold, just like they did in Chine. But God knows that is never going to happen. Fitting 300 million people into the U.S. is not the answer. When most parents think if they are ready to have a kid, all they think about are finances. When they really should consider that THIS CHILD IS YOU. This new-born is an exact or atleast almost exact embodiment of the parent..that the smallest action can turn into the biggest thing.

According to SpongeBob, Gary (the snail) is the most intelligent.

I have no idea who or what is the most intelligent beings in the universe. On the planet, I suppose humans are. We should probably act more the role more often, tho.

Oh sure, we're stranded on a dirtball floating in an endless void, and it is the only planet we know of that can actually support life, basically a space oasis, and we're turning it into a wasteland, that's very intelligent.....

89% of the world is below the poverty line. What is your solution? If you come up with one, you might be a frontrunner for the Nobel Prize in economics. The empathy is admirable. But the economics of this problem is a complete nightmare.

If "we" are so smart, why are we killing the very thing that keeps us all alive, the planet.
