A common misconception is that Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door because they feel it is their duty to "recruit" a householder, or get him to "convert". In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses would go from door-to-door even if there were no hope that anyone would change their religion, or even if no one would listen to them!
That is because Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation, with no regard for specific results.
(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to direct attention to the bible, and move on when their message is unwanted. Since each congregation in the United States tries to call at every home in its territory at least twice each year, there is strong motivation for them to move on where little interest is shown. Also, the Scriptures help the Witnesses to expect little interest from most:
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Not all Mormons are this way. I live in AZ were there's an LDS church on every corner. Over 7/8 of my friends are Mormon and we've never had that issue. I don't know so much about JW's though. But, yea I've never run into that problem before.

Well, basically, because we as Mormons believe there is more to the gospel than what other religions teach. We believe many truths and simple doctrine was lost during the apostasy... but that these truths were restored through the prophet Joseph Smith after he was visited by God the Father and Jesus Christ.
We want to share the joy of the gospel with others, that's it. We believe there is so much waiting for us after this life if we will but do the things God has asked, he has so many blessings in store for the faithful.

Witnesses Stand alone when it comes to Preaching and under trying circumstances..Notice .
Faced with this situation, it is advisable to consider the situation of our brothers in the first-century Jerusalem congregation. So keenly had the preaching work been felt there that the brothers were haled before the Supreme Court for a second time with the firm rebuke: “We positively charged you not to keep teaching upon the basis of this name, and yet, look! you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you are determined to bring the blood of this man upon us.” Some did not appreciate the repeated visits at their homes; but were the apostles free to withdraw from this service? Not if they wanted to be true Christians, ministers of God. Their simple answer to the court was: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men.”—Acts 5:28, 29.

I don't know about the Mormons but as one of Jehovah's Witness I do know that we do not try to convert anyone to our way of thinking but that we just try to share the Bible with everyone and it's not our way that is the best but the way of the Bible is the best way!

Simple Jesus command to preach the instauration of the Kingdom of his father in Earth according to Matthew 24:14, Jesus taught us in the model pray to request that Kingdom (matthew 6:9) that was the message that Jesus command to preach: God´s kingdom as the solution of all the problem of this planet, Satan is the ruler of this planet ( 1John 5:19) Jesus will remove him and rule the earth (Revelation 5:10)
nobody is preaching that message "God´s kingdom as the solution of the problem of this planet, and as nobody is doing the smaller group of all that claim that are christians "Jehovah´s witnesses with less than 7 millions people around the world (150 times smaller than Catholic Church and 80 times smaller than Protestants church) have to do the duty.

Theres many doctrines that don't agree with the Bible, such as the Trinity, Hellfire, Immortal Soul ect. We (JWs) are trying to teach people the accurate Bible knowledge and what Gods word really says. Sure many oppose our beliefs, but they cannot reject the scriptures for what it really says.

Nothing wrong with that. Most people believe things which are untrue and a deception. Most people read and believe what the TV and newspapers say. And often the only thing you can believe in them is the date.

Yea, and I better not hear another word that Pizza Hut is better than Dominoes. They think that their pizza is the best. Why don't they just leave people alone. If we don't want to try their pizza we don't have to. They need to take off their commercials and stop sending me their brochures. I'M ALREADY A DOMINOES LOVER! GET IT?
