Which religious beliefs hold that the god of the religion is willing to suffer a cruel and inhuman punishment?

To save you personally from an eternity of pain and suffering? Of all the religious belief's there are, I'm curious to know which ones offer a picture or ideal of an almighty God that loves you enough to humble themselves and to be willing to die for you and take your punishment as their own so that you can live together forever?

All religions and religious beliefs are just that, you can't live a religious life, you have to believe in something, that's were a religion differs from a believer, and you are talking about Christianity, the best example, so many have done a religious cult, out of that, but there is only one truth, that's the one you and only you can find, read the manual.

Attis, a bull was slaughtered while on a perforated platform. The animal's blood flowed down over an initiate who stood in a pit under the platform. The believer was then considered to have been "born again." Poor people could only afford a sheep, and so were literally washed in the blood of the lamb. This practice was interpreted symbolically by Christians.

Mithra was the one that was crucified and ressurected, he had twelve followers, was called the word and the lion, was born of a virgin in humble surroundings (a cave) and wise men attended his birth, he had a feast where , if you ate of his flesh and drank of his blood, you would recieve everlasting life, and he was known as a great teacher and healer.

All of this at about 1000 - 600 years before christ.
